There’s a big SEC matchup on tap for Saturday afternoon as the Tennessee Volunteers host the Georgia Bulldogs in Week 3 action.
I have a lot of respect for Georgia’s defense, but I think the Tennessee passing game will be a little more effective than bookmakers are giving it credit for, which I’m taking advantage of in my Georgia vs. Tennessee predictions.
Let’s look at three of my best player props and college football picks for Saturday, September 13.
Georgia vs Tennessee props for Week 3
Aguilar o201.5 passing yards (-114)
Stockton u20.5 rushing yards (-114)
Brazzell II o3.5 receptions (-106)
Prop bet #1: Joey Aguilar Over 201.5 passing yards
The Georgia Bulldogs' defense is a force to be reckoned with. The Bulldogs have only allowed a total of 13 points over their first two games, allowing a total of 280 passing yards over their two games.
They have an endless well of talent in recent years on both sides of the ball, and 2025 is no exception.
But that doesn’t mean that the Tennessee Volunteers won’t be able to move the ball on Saturday. Yes, Georgia represents a huge step up in competition for Volunteers quarterback Joey Aguilar, but Tennessee is also a very different opponent for Georgia, which has faced off against the Marshall Thundering Herd and the Austin Peay Governors in its first two weeks.
In his collegiate career, the only time that Aguilar has been held Under 201.5 passing yards was in his first game at Appalachian State, when he split time in the quarterback role for the Mountaineers. Since then, in 25 true starts, he’s hit that total every time.
This isn’t a big number, and the Tennessee passing game should find enough success for Aguilar to hit a very achievable Over.
Prop bet #2: Gunner Stockton Under 20.5 rushing yards
In Georgia’s opener against Marshall, Gunner Stockton looked like a true dual-threat quarterback, running for 73 yards and two scores. But while Stockton definitely can run the ball, I don’t think we should expect him to compile too many yards on the ground in general.
Even in last week’s win over Austin Peay, Stockton threw the ball more and ran just five times for 13 yards. And looking back to 2024, the Junior ran the ball 21 times for a combined -13 yards in total, and never managed more than 10 yards in a game or more than a single yard per carry in any contest.
As a result, I don’t see Georgia making Stockton’s running game a big part of its offense plan. That’s especially true against a Tennessee defense that will be missing two starting cornerbacks for Saturday’s game.
That should encourage the Bulldogs to unleash Stockton and weapons like Zachariah Branch in the passing game, without putting wear on Stockton on designed runs. I’m taking the Under on the QB’s rushing yardage total.
Prop bet #3: Chris Brazzell II Over 3.5 receptions
As expected coming into the year, Chris Brazzell II has stepped up as a leader in the Tennessee receiver corps. In his first two games, Brazzell has led the Volunteers in both receptions (14) and receiving yardage (187), while catching two touchdown passes.
Brazzell has the most experience in a young group of receivers, which may have Aguilar considering him as a dependable option. That experience will be critical against the Georgia secondary, which ranked among the top in the nation heading into this season and includes experienced defensive backs like KJ Bolden and Daylen Everette.
I’ve already talked about how we can expect Tennessee’s offensive numbers to dip significantly against the Bulldogs, but that doesn’t mean they’ll look anything like the cupcakes Georgia faced in the first two weeks of the season.
Brazzell has at least five receptions in each of his first two games, so it doesn’t seem like a stretch to say he’ll catch at least four balls on Saturday, especially at home and in a close game.
