No. 23 Wisconsin Badgers arrive in Utah for a non-conference neutral-site game against No. 9 BYU Cougars on Friday night.

The site might be neutral, but it won't be unbiased, since the game takes place at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, a 45-minute drive from BYU's campus.

The Badgers are undefeated but untested through four games. BYU is 3-1 but will be without one starter and possibly two.

A fully operational Cougars team would be a different story, but given the current situation, my Wisconsin vs. BYU predictions and college basketball picks have Wisconsin grabbing a moneyline win.

Wisconsin vs BYU prediction

Wisconsin vs BYU best bet: Wisconsin Badgers moneyline (+170)

The BYU Cougars will be without junior guard Kennard Davis Jr., as he is serving an indefinite suspension.

Coach Kevin Young said it's "safe to assume" he won't play against Wisconsin.

Davis was averaging 9.0 points per game and hit half of his three-point attempts, but the bigger impact of his loss might be on BYU's team defense.

In two games with Davis, the Cougars allowed 0.8 points per possession. In two games without him, against a comparable schedule, they've given up 1.1. Foes shot 13-of-57, .228 from three with Davis guarding the perimeter.

Without Davis, opponents hit 19-of-42, .452 from outside.

BYU might also have to play without starting center Keba Keita. The 6-foot-8 senior collided with a UConn player while going for a loose ball in the last game and missed the last eight minutes. He hasn't practiced and will be a game-time decision.

"I feel I've gotten good feedback in terms of he is doing better, but at the same time, he's currently still out," said Young. "So it's more positive than it's not, but the situation that he's in is more of a day-to-day type thing."

BYU's defense took another blow without him on the floor. UConn big man Tarris Reed Jr. scored a point a minute with Keita out of the game as the Huskies pulled away for the win.

Keita's availability will have an impact on Wisconsin Badgers 6-foot-11 Nolan Winter, who is averaging 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds.

Wisconsin has senior guards and plenty of size. They rank 34th in the country in effective shooting percentage and 17th in two-point shooting. With BYU facing the possibility of being down two important defenders, that spells disaster for the Cougars.

Wisconsin vs BYU same-game parlay

The 164.5-point game total is sky-high for these two teams.

BYU ranks No. 178 in the nation in tempo, while Wisconsin is at No. 210.

Without Davis and playing worse defense, BYU still went under against Delaware, its third in as many games. The UConn loss produced the only over of the season for the Cougars.

Wisconsin, meanwhile, has gone over in three of its four games this season, but its points-total cutoff has never been above 157 and has been as low as 146.5. They've had one game that would have cleared the over for the BYU game.

John Blackwell has hit 7-of-12 from three in the last two games, and, as we've discussed, BYU has struggled with perimeter defense without Davis.

Our beyond the arc SGP: Winter is Coming!

Nolan Winter is averaging 14.3 points per game this season. He's hitting 76.9% of his two-point attempts and didn't miss one in his last game.

He's also been attempting an average of three treys per game, although they haven't been falling frequently so far. If Keba Keita is out, he should hit this Over easily, and he's a good threat to do so even with BYU's big man playing.
