The Big Ten served up an upset last weekend as Michigan's run at an unbeaten season ended against Wisconsin. The Wolverines had looked like world beaters, dominating some of the best teams in the country.
Now Michigan finishes a two-game trip to the Pacific Northwest with a game at Oregon, which has struggled.
Michigan won at Washington and should be able to finish a successful trip, but my Michigan vs. Oregon predictions and college basketball picks call for Oregon to stay within the hefty point spread for a home cover.
Michigan vs Oregon prediction
Michigan vs Oregon best bet: Oregon +19.5 (-110)
The Michigan Wolverines have been dominant against Quad I opponents, going 6-0. That includes wins over San Diego State, Auburn, and Gonzaga by 40, 30, and 40 points, respectively.
The Wolverines also beat Villanova by 28. Against lesser foes, their attention has drifted at times.
Quad II Wake Forest took them to overtime. In the game before the loss to Quad II Wisconsin, Michigan escaped Penn State—another Quad II—with a two-point win.
The loss certainly got Michigan's attention, but after a 10-point win at Washington to start the trip, the Wolverines may be content that the ship has been righted and be looking forward to returning to Michigan.
That could result in some tense moments in an expected blowout.
Michigan dominated the paint in the win at Washington, getting 40% of offensive rebound attempts and hitting 59% of its two-point attempts.
The Oregon Ducks might be able to present a matchup problem to that game plan. The Ducks are No. 33 in the country in offensive rebounding rate.
They've held three of their last five Big Ten opponents below 50% on two-point attempts, including an 11-for-30 effort from Maryland.
It's not enough to stop Michigan's attack, which is No. 1 in the nation in two-point shooting and two-point defense, but it could knock them back a bit and keep the score tighter than expected.

Michigan vs Oregon same-game parlay
Michigan plays at the No. 6 tempo in the country, Oregon at No. 230. The 157.5-point over-under is higher than anything Oregon has faced in the last 10 games, and it's lower than Michigan's last five cutoffs and six of the last seven.
The scoring prop is more feel than numbers. The 6-foot-9 Morez Johnson will be matched up against two bigger men with experience in 6-foot-10 junior Kwame Evans and seven-foot senior Nate Bittle. Johnson has been on a heater lately, scoring 18 or more in four of the last five and topping 20 points twice.
He's due for a regression to the mean, and playing bigger guys could lead to foul trouble, which limited him to two shots and three points against Penn State.
Our beyond the arc SGP: Duck Attack!
This is another regression-to-the-mean special. Yaxel Lendeborg has taken the second-most three-point attempts on the team and is hitting at 35% for the season.
He's made 4 of his last 20 three-pointers, though. Nebraska hit 17-of-36 from three against Oregon last game, so Lendeborg could see himself open and get the chance to shoot himself out of the slump.
