The Gators appear to be getting some spread love as the home side, but the Tigers are one of the most thorough teams in college basketball and should have no problem dispatching them. Check out our Auburn vs. Florida betting picks to see why.

The Auburn Tigers will hit the road to take on the Florida Gators for their second meeting of the season.

In the first meeting, Auburn defeated Florida, at home, 85-73. That was back on January 8, when Colin Castleton was still healthy and Florida was near full strength.

Right now, Auburn is currently 12-1 in conference play and has won two straight since the shocking overtime loss to Arkansas. Meanwhile, Florida has lost two straight on the road but hasn’t lost on its home floor since January 12.

Will Florida protect its homecourt? Here are our college basketball picks and predictions for Auburn vs. Florida on Saturday, February 19.

Auburn vs Florida picks and predictions

Our predictions are compiled from the analysis of the spread and total and are indications of where we are leaning for this game.
Our best bet is the play that we like the most for this game, which we would actually put some of our bankroll behind.

Spread analysis

Right now, we don’t even know if Florida is going to be an NCAA Tournament team. Meanwhile, Auburn is 24-2 and one of the best teams that college basketball has to offer.

It’s always tough to win road games in the SEC, but Auburn should be able to get out in front early and never look back.

The Tigers are shooting an effective field goal percentage of 51.3% while only turning the ball over 16.4% of the time. On the glass, Auburn is consistently earning second chances with 34.2% offensive rebounds per game.

From long-range, Auburn shoots just 31.9%, however, inside, the Tigers are knocking down 53.5% of shots.

The one area where Florida has excelled this year is forcing turnovers, earning 22.5% this season. However, Auburn has been taking care of the ball this year and if that continues, Florida might not have many answers for Auburn, especially on the glass, where the Gators are allowing 32.9% offensive rebounds.

On the other hand, the Gators have been much worse offensively, shooting an effective field goal percentage of 49.4%. Florida turns the ball over 19.3% of the time and shoot just 30.1% from downtown while taking a whole lot of threes.

The Gators will get their fair share of offensive rebounds but won’t be able to match what Auburn can do on their side of the ball.

Plus, Auburn is allowing a 44.2% effective field goal percentage, holding opponents to 30.8% from deep and just 43% from inside, all while earning 20.5% turnovers.

Therefore, I’ll grab Auburn at -4, even on the road.

Prediction: Auburn -4 (-110)

Over/Under analysis

Auburn’s defense travels. The Tigers are always prepared. However, Auburn can be very aggressive at times and make this game longer than it has to be.

There’s potential for Florida to get to the line at a high rate. The Gators are shooting an above-average rate of 73% from the foul line too. Plus, both teams should be able to earn second chances and, despite Florida only shooting 30.1% from three, the Gators still take a whole lot of threes and should make enough to help this game go Over.

Prediction: Over 139.5 (-110)

Best bet

Auburn has been a tough out this season. The Tigers have just one loss in SEC play and it was an overtime thriller against Arkansas.

Florida just can’t shoot like Arkansas can and absolutely can’t rebound well enough on the defensive end to keep Auburn off-balance.

Give me Auburn -4 here.

Pick: Auburn -4 (-110)
