Best NBA Player Props Today: Ant Man is a True A-Lister

Anthony Edwards' continued ascension has been a key reason for the Minnesota Timberwolves' hot start to the season. He does it all on both ends of the floor and is therefore our headlining act for tonight's NBA player prop picks.

It’s the first of several In-Season Tournament Tuesdays tonight, and that brings a stack of NBA odds, with 10 games set for tip-off.

The Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Golden State Warriors are among the teams looking to move to 2-0 in the tournament standings, while the Philadelphia 76ers should be one of the most popular NBA picks after reeling off eight straight wins since a loss in their season opener.

With no shortage of big names in action, there’s a loaded NBA player props market to dissect. Here are my top three picks for a busy night of hoops.

NBA player props for November 14

Prop bet #1: Ant in attack mode

Make no mistake, this is a huge year for the Minnesota Timberwolves with monster contracts on the books and big pressure to improve on a clunky first season with the double-big pairing of Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert.

So far, the Timberwolves have responded. They’re riding a six-game win streak and boast the No.1 defense in the league. But I’m focusing on the other end of the court for one of my favorite props tonight — and that means locking in on Anthony Edwards, who’s making a leap in his fourth year.

With Edwards emerging as the top scoring option for Minnesota, he’s putting up 28 points a night through his first nine games — and that represents a major uptick after averaging 24.6 during the 2022/23 season.

But his playmaking has equally jumped out during the Timberwolves’ impressive start, and I’m looking to cash in on both of those strengths with Ant’s points + assists prop here.

Edwards has put up solid numbers as a creator this year, posting six or more assists six times already. Of course, this line is low enough that Ant could crack it with points alone if he gets rolling, but the assists provide a little cushion as he shares the ball-handling duties with Mike Conley.

The Timberwolves take on the Golden State Warriors for the second time in three days tonight, and Edwards torched the Dubs on the way to 33 points and seven dimes on Sunday. I see Ant producing a similar stat line here and serving up another reminder that he’s heading for an All-Star nod this season.

Anthony Edwards prop: Over 32.5 points+assists (-104 at FanDuel)

Prop bet #2: Bam Bam Big

With the Miami Heat riding a five-game win streak despite a string of injuries and absences, look no further than Bam Adebayo as one of the pillars holding everything together.

With Tyler Herro out, Adebayo has taken on a bigger offensive role, but his defensive presence continues to be his calling card — and I see Bam having another active game on the boards tonight.

Against a Charlotte Hornets team that’s taking 92 shots a night (the third-highest number in the league), rebounds will be up for grabs. While the Hornets are shooting at a healthy 48% clip overall, they’re dead last in the league in 3-point percentage (30%).

That should mean plenty of misses for Adebayo to vacuum up. He’s tallied 11 or more rebounds in each of his last four games, and Miami needs that level of activity with Erik Spoelstra often turning to undersized line-ups.

While Bam is averaging 10.4 boards a game this season, that number jumps to 14.5 over his last four, including a 19-rebound effort against the L.A. Lakers last Monday.

I’m taking the Over on the Adebayo rebounds prop and counting on his experience to give him an edge against Charlotte’s Mark Williams and Nick Richards in the paint.

Bam Adebayo prop: Over 10.5 rebounds (-104 at FanDuel)

Prop bet #3: MPJ leads the way

The Denver Nuggets’ title defense is off to a solid start with an early 8-2 record, but Jamal Murray’s hamstring injury is going to be a real test of the champs’ depth.

Sure, two-time MVP Nikola Jokic can paper over just about any absence, but the No. 2 role in the offense is up for grabs in the short term and Michael Porter Jr. is proving he can be that guy.

Unsurprisingly, MPJ has seen an uptick in touches with Murray sidelined, and he’s coming off a 25-point night on 11-for-19 shooting against the Houston Rockets on Sunday.

With this line, I like the Over on Porter Jr.’s points prop tonight against an Los Angeles Clippers team that’s lost five in a row. He’s scored 22 or more points in four of his last five contests while getting up at least 16 field-goal attempts in each of those games, and there could be some easy buckets here with the Clippers vulnerable in transition, particularly when James Harden is on the court.

MPJ has been a bigger offensive threat at Ball Arena this season, particularly from downtown where he’s up to 38% through six home games so far, and L.A. is middle of the pack in 3-pointers allowed per game (12.7).

The Nuggets have won nine of the past 10 meetings with the Clippers, and Porter Jr. is going to be a big part of the Denver game plan tonight.

Michael Porter Jr. prop: Over 18.5 points (-110 at Unibet) 25% boost available
