NBA betting odds are on the board for Game 6 of the NBA Finals, set for Sunday night. The Miami Heat look to stretch this series to seven games, while the Los Angeles Lakers aim to finish off this battle and raise the trophy.

Multiple oddsmakers provided early insights on NBA Finals opening lines and early line movement, sharp money and public betting for Sunday’s matchup, along with odds to win the NBA championship. NBA line movement

UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET SUNDAY: An hour before tipoff, the Lakers are up to -6 at BetMGM Nevada, after opening -5.

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET SUNDAY: DraftKings opened the Lakers -5.5 and spent all day Saturday at -5, then climbed to -6 Sunday morning. The total dropped from 215.5 to 213.5 by late Saturday night, then ticked up to 214.5 overnight.

UPDATE 1:20 P.M. ET SUNDAY: After moving from -5.5 to -5 early, the Lakers are now up to -6 at FanDuel Sportsbook. The total opened at 216 and went to 216.5, but is now down to 214.5.

Jimmy Butler willed Miami to victory in Friday’s must-win Game 5, finishing with 35 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists in a 111-108 victory over Los Angeles. The Heat pulled with 3-2 in the best-of-seven series heading into another must-win in a 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff Sunday.

FanDuel opened the Lakers at -5.5 and moved to -5 late Friday night, where the line remained Saturday afternoon. The total opened at 216 and dropped to 214.5.

NBA public betting

UPDATE 6:30 P.M. ET SUNDAY: BetMGM's Jeff Stoneback said a Las Vegas customer bet $100,000 on the Heat +6 today, and right now, the book needs the Lakers. "But I'm sure before game time, we'll only need the Lakers for a little, or maybe need the Heat. We'll take nothing but Lakers money up until tipoff.. Tickets are already 2.5/1 on the Lakers."

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET SUNDAY: DraftKings is seeing 62 percent of tickets and 67 percent of money on the Lakers. The public is also on the Over, which is attracting 72 percent of bets and 79 percent of dollars.

UPDATE 1:20 P.M. ET SUNDAY: The always-public Lakers are drawing 63 percent of tickets and 65 percent of money on the spread at FanDuel. And although the total is down a couple points from its high, the Over is still seeing 74 percent of bets/72 percent of money.

The Lakers are always the public play, and it’s showing up in the early betting splits at FanDuel. Los Angeles was attracting 68 percent of tickets and money, through Saturday afternoon. Sixty-two percent of early bets were on the Over, but money was almost dead even, with 51 percent on the Under.

Odds to win the NBA championship

Prior to Game 5, with the Lakers holding a 3-1 series lead and looking to close it out, the series price at FanDuel was Lakers -8,000/Heat +2,200. With the Heat staying alive, FanDuel moved to Los Angeles -900/Miami +610.
