Cooper Flagg has been the consensus No. 1 overall pick for the better part of three months, but that doesn't mean there's no value to be found further down the NBA Draft odds board.

Join me as I break down the latest NBA odds ahead of what promises to be an exciting Draft Day and NBA offseason.

NBA Draft players to watch

Duke Cooper Flagg

Cooper Flagg has been the consensus No. 1 pick for the better part of his season at Duke, and now that the time has finally come, his odds are shortening even further.

Barring the unthinkable from Nico Harrison (he's already traded Luka Doncic this year), the Mavericks will keep the first pick and select their new face of the franchise.

Rutgers Dylan Harper

Behind Flagg, Dylan Harper is perhaps the best player in the draft, and many think it's not even close.

He's equipped with a big 6-foot-4 frame and is one of the more polished scoring guards to enter the league in recent drafts.

Pairing him with Victor Wembanyama will be the key to unlocking his full potential as a playmaker.

Baylor VJ Edgecombe

The Philadelphia 76ers must decide between VJ Edgecombe and Ace Bailey, but many point to the Baylor man as the player they prefer.

Edgecombe offers a little more by way of defensive cover, and pairing him with Tyrese Maxey could give the 76ers a nice backcourt for the next five years.

He's one to watch out for this season.

Who won the 2025 NBA Draft lottery?

The Dallas Mavericks secured the first overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft in June. With the win, they now get the chance to draft Duke phenom Cooper Flagg, who is almost a guaranteed franchise player.

Some would call this a lifeline for the embattled franchise after trading away beloved superstar Luka Doncic. It'll be interesting to see if Nico Harrison keeps the pick and drafts Flagg, or trades out of No. 1 for a massive return.

2025 NBA Draft order

The 2025 NBA Draft order is set from No. 1 to No. 14 based on the lottery proceedings.

Here are some recent trends you'll want to keep in mind when betting on NBA Draft odds:

  • Positions have been reasonably well-distributed among the No. 1 picks. Over the past 20 NBA Drafts, eight have been forwards, seven guards, and five centers.

  • "One-and-done" college freshmen make up the overwhelming majority of recent top picks, being selected No. 1 in 16 of the past 19 seasons since high schoolers were ruled ineligible.

  • Among NCAA schools, Duke leads the all-time count with five No. 1-overall picks, including Paolo Banchero in 2022.
