The Los Angeles Lakers could be without Luka Doncic for the fourth straight game, but that hasn’t been a problem for Austin Reaves, who’s thrived in the spotlight.

My Lakers vs. Grizzlies predictions break down why I’m picking Reaves to put up some big numbers tonight.

Tip-off is set for 9:30 p.m. ET from Memphis, with the game airing on Prime Video.

Lakers vs Grizzlies prediction

Lakers vs Grizzlies best bet: Austin Reaves Over 35.5 points and assists (-130)

No LeBron James? No Luka Doncic? No problem for Austin Reaves.

The Los Angeles Lakers guard has taken his game to another level in the absence of LA’s two superstars. Since Doncic left the lineup with a finger injury last week, Reaves has averaged 40 points and 10 assists over his last three games.

Reaves has shown improvement in each of his previous four seasons, but the 27-year-old is now proving that he has the ability to carry a team on his own. And he’ll likely need to do that again tonight vs. the Memphis Grizzlies.

Fortunately for Reaves, the Grizzlies are not a team that’s committed to playing great defense. Memphis sits 23rd in the NBA in points allowed per game (123) and 25th in opponent assists per game (28).

Look for Reaves to dominate and put up Over 35.5 points and assists tonight.

Lakers vs Grizzlies same-game parlay

Reaves has scored 28+ points in each of his last three games and at least 25 in all five contests this season. He probably hits 30 vs. a lackadaisical Grizzlies defense.

DeAndre Ayton is the best rebounder on either team and shouldn’t have too much trouble picking up 10 boards against a Memphis squad that ranks 26th in offensive rebounding. The Lakers center has snagged Over 9.5 rebounds in two of his last three games.
