Clippers vs Kings Predictions, Picks, and Odds for Tonight’s NBA Game

Ivica Zubac has been a stud down low for the Clippers in recent games, and with the way Sacramento plays defense, our NBA picks believe Zub will have plenty of boards to grab in tonight's Cali showdown.

A three-game winning streak has the Los Angeles Clippers climbing back in the hunt for the top seed in the Western Conference. The Clips go for a fourth straight victory when they close out a four-game road trip against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

The NBA odds have Los Angeles as a short road favorite which may have basketball bettors thinking twice. The Clippers have been absolute against the spread poison the past month — covering the spread just four times in the team’s last 15 games.

Sacramento is pushing to avoid the Western Conference Play-In Round, currently sitting eighth in the West. The Kings hope to put an inconsistent March behind them after going 10-6 SU and 8-8 ATS, but they’ll have to do it without top two-way player Malik Monk after he suffered a knee sprain (out 4 to 6 weeks) last week.

I size up the spread and Over/Under total for this California clash and give my best NBA picks for the Clippers vs. Kings on April 2.

Clippers vs Kings predictions

My best bet: Ivica Zubac Over 8.5 Rebound (+105 at DraftKings)

The Los Angeles Clippers’ current three-game winning streak has been powered by many of players, and L.A.’s big man in the middle — Ivica Zubac — is one of them.

The 7-footer has been especially sound inside the past two games, putting up 24 points and 12 rebounds in the win at Charlotte this weekend as well as 14 points and nine boards in the victory at Orlando the game before.

Zubac, who averages just over nine rebounds on the season, has snatched nine or more boards in four of the past five games. There’s the potential for plenty of rebounding opportunities against the Sacramento Kings given their preferred pace of play compared to the Clips’ recent foes. Sacramento runs the 12th fastest offensive tempo and fires up the fifth-most field goal attempts per game in the NBA.

Zubac will be matched up with Kings big man Domantas Sabonis, who plays foul line extended on many possessions as the lynchpin in Sacramento’s dribble-handoff offense. That means Zubac is already in prime position to boxout and clean the glass on the defensive end.

Player projections for Zubac’s work on the glass range from 7.8 rebounds to a ceiling closer to 11. The bulk of models are beyond 8.5 rebounds and my number comes out to 9.8, which should have the Over 8.5 priced around -160.

Some sharper books have Zubac Over 8.5 rebounds listed at -121, but you can find this prop priced at plus money at many sportsbooks on Tuesday morning, including +105 at DraftKings.

Clippers vs Kings same-game parlay

Ivica Zubac Over 8.5 rebounds

Zubac Over 9.5 points

Clippers moneyline

Zubac has been working hard on the board and his forecasts call for as many as 11 rebounds tonight.

The Clippers’ center has shown a scoring touch in recent games, and projections call for another double-figure night in the points column.

Los Angeles brings momentum into this final road stop of a four-game swing. It's 22-6 SU when getting the points on the road this season.
