Bucks vs Cavaliers prediction

Bucks vs Cavaliers best bet: Bucks +6.5 (-110)

The Cleveland Cavaliers were one of the best stories in the NBA last season, finishing with an Eastern Conference-best record of 64-18. While Cleveland ultimately went out to the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the playoffs, hopes have been high for another big year.

But after an absolutely brilliant 33-4 start, the Cavs did slow down a bit in the second half of the season. Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks finished last year on a heater, winning their last eight regular season games before losing to the Pacers in the first round.

It’s been a while since Cleveland has covered in a basketball game. This season, a loss to the New York Knicks and a seven-point win over the Brooklyn Nets haven’t gotten the job done.

While the Cavaliers will be happy to be at home, they’re dealing with multiple injuries to key players, and must contend with Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is averaging 34 points, 17 rebounds, and six assists, the first 30/15/5 two-game start in NBA history.

I’m not betting against that start, especially when we’re getting a healthy number of points to take Milwaukee. I’m backing the Bucks to cover tonight.

Bucks vs Cavaliers same-game parlay

Both teams have played to big scores early in the season, hitting the Over in each of their two games so far. That has me backing the Over in my SGP, and with that many points on the board, I’m confident that Giannis will keep up his fast start and hit his personal points Over as well.

Bucks vs Cavaliers 3-leg SGP

  • Bucks +6.5
  • Over 234.5
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 31.5 points

Our "from downtown" SGP: Greek Freak cleans the glass

Antetokounmpo has been on a monster on the boards so far this season, averaging 17 rebounds per game after putting up 11.9 rebounds per game last year.

Evan Mobley has hit five threes in his first two games this year, and averaged hitting over one per game last season as well as his outside shooting has steadily improved throughout his career.

Bucks vs Cavaliers 5-leg SGP

  • Bucks +6.5
  • Over 234.5
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 31.5 points
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 11.5 rebounds
  • Evan Mobley Over 1.5 threes

Bucks vs Cavaliers odds

  • Spread: Milwaukee +6.5 | Cleveland -6.5
  • Moneyline: Milwaukee +215 | Cleveland -240
  • Over/Under: Over 234.5 | Under 234.5

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
