Yankees vs White Sox best bet: Yankees -1.5 (-141)
Cody Bellinger, Trent Grisham, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. each went yard on Thursday to help the New York Yankees roll to a 10-4 win in the series opener against the Chicago White Sox.
New York’s offense has come alive in August, leading MLB in runs scored (90), home runs (37), and slugging percentage (.570) over the past 15 days. That offensive surge has helped the Yankees go 10-3 over their last 13 outings while covering the spread in nine of those contests.
Carlos Rodon also comes into the contest on a three-game win streak for the Yankees and has not suffered a loss since July 21 — a span of six straight starts. Meanwhile, White Sox pitcher Yoendrys Gomez is slated to make just his fourth career MLB start tonight, carrying a bloated 4.73 ERA in his first full season.
The Pinstripes should cruise to another comfortable win in Chicago.
