Our 3 best MLB player props for Wednesday, September 3

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

George Kirby Under 5.5 hits allowed

+115 at BetMGM

The Tampa Bay Rays rank 26th in both batting average and wOBA in the second half, so I’m anticipating Seattle Mariners righty George Kirby having a solid start tonight.

He’s allowed five hits or fewer in 10 of his past 12 starts, and he sports a solid 3.00 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 3.45 xFIP while holding opposing hitters to a pedestrian .215 batting average during the stretch.

Zack Littell Under 17.5 outs recorded

+120 at BetMGM

The Toronto Blue Jays pace the majors in wOBA since the All-Star break and rank fourth in the metric against right-handed pitchers for the campaign, so this will be a daunting test for Cincinnati Reds starter Zack Littell at hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park.

Of course, Littell has also surrendered a healthy .280 batting average and .347 wOBA to Toronto hitters across five career starts while pitching for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Nestor Cortes Over 15.5 outs recorded

-105 at BetMGM

There’s nothing overly scary about a matchup with the Baltimore Orioles, and San Diego Padres lefty Nestor Cortes has been solid at pitcher-friendly Petco Park with a 2.04 ERA and 0.85 WHIP across three starts.

Baltimore enters with a 21st-ranked wOBA against left-handed hurlers, and Cortes is rested after being ejected in his prior start, after all.
