Our 3 best MLB player props for Tuesday, September 2

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Juan Soto Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

-145 at DraftKings

New York Mets star Juan Soto sports an elite .416 wOBA, .285 ISO, and .988 OPS against right-handed hurlers, and he’ll face inexperienced Detroit Tigers starter Sawyer Gipson-Long tonight.

Gipson-Long will be making just his seventh career start, and Soto has racked up a monster 70 runs, 79 hits, and 65 RBI across his past 82 games while posting a 1.023 OPS.

Nolan McLean Under 17.5 outs recorded

-115 at BetMGM

There have been no flies on Mets rookie Nolan McLean through three starts, with the righty spinning a tidy 0.89 ERA, 0.69 WHIP, and 2.71 xFIP.

However, McLean will have a tough test against the Tigers at Comerica Park, and his .196 BABIP is unsustainably low.

Detroit ranks fourth in OPS and ISO at home, so I expect McLean to have a hiccup or two tonight.

  • Where to watch: SNY, FDSNDT

Slade Cecconi Under 16.5 outs recorded

-110 at DraftKings

Cleveland Guardians starter Slade Cecconi will have a tough time navigating the Boston Red Sox lineup tonight.

The righty has served up an appetizing 49.1% hard-hit rate and 12.6 barrel percentage, and the Red Sox rank eighth in wOBA at Fenway Park.

Additionally, Cecconi sports a 5.55 ERA across his past eight starts.
