Our 3 best MLB player props for Thursday, September 4
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Giancarlo Stanton Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI
While New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton doesn’t hold the platoon advantage against Houston Astros righty Cristian Javier, Stanton has still been raking at the dish, and this price more than accounts for righty-righty matchup.
Stanton has teed off for a .427 wOBA, .366 ISO and 1.020 OPS against right-handed arms for the campaign, and he’s also cruising along a 35-for-101 stretch at the dish with 21 runs and 33 RBI across the past 32 games.

Prop #2: Carlos Rodon Under 5.5 strikeouts
The Houston Astros have the ninth-best strikeout percentage and fifth-best wOBA against lefties, and New York Yankees southpaw Carlos Rodon has fanned five or fewer in each of his past five starts.
Rodon has proven incredibly durable the past two seasons, but he’s closing in on his prior career-high 178 innings in 2022 after throwing 175 last year. The Yankees bullpen has capable arms, too, and sports the third-lowest xFIP in baseball over the past 30 days.
Unless Rodon is absolutely dealing, his leash could be short with a lot of important baseball still ahead.
Prop #3: Jazz Chisholm Jr. Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI
Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. is heating up with a 11-for-36 run at the dish consisting of 11 runs, 12 RBI, and a monster 1.256 OPS. He’s also posted a high-end .376 wOBA and .301 ISO against righties for the campaign and is hitting in the heart of the dangerous New York lineup.
I also like that Javier’s 5.31 xFIP is miles above his 3.38 ERA, and left-handed hitters boast a healthy .355 wOBA against him since the beginning of 2023.
