The ALDS switches over to Comerica Park for a pivotal Game 3 as the Detroit Tigers and the Seattle Mariners jostle for a 2-1 series lead.

Each team has scored just five runs so far in the series, but today's best MLB picks and MLB player props are banking on Cal Raleigh to break through once again in my Mariners vs. Tigers predictions for Tuesday, October 7.

Mariners vs Tigers player prop picks

Prop #1: Cal Raleigh Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

-130 at BetMGM

Offense has been scarce in the early stages of this ALDS, but that hasn’t stopped Cal Raleigh from doing his job.

The 60-home run man has not yet gone yard in the postseason, but Raleigh did notch three singles in Game 1 before adding a double and a run in Game 2. I’m expecting him to record over 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI for the third straight outing.

The Seattle Mariners catcher finished among the MLB leaders in homers (first), RBI (third), and runs scored (seventh) during the regular season, and that success has translated into the postseason.

Raleigh has accounted for four of Seattle’s 14 hits in the series, so he’ll likely need to lead the way again in today’s pivotal Game 3.

Prop #2: Kerry Carpenter Over 0.5 hits

-150 at BetMGM

The Detroit Tigers managed just three hits in their 3-2 loss to the Mariners in Game 2 as Kerry Carpenter went 0-for-3 at the dish with a walk.

That snapped a five-game hit streak for the Tigers outfielder, but I’m looking for Carpenter to get back on track in Game 3.

Before Game 3, Carpenter had recorded at least one hit in all four postseason outings, including a two-run homer in Game 1 at Seattle.

The left-handed hitting Carpenter fared much better against right-handed pitching this season, so I like his chances vs. Mariners starter Logan Gilbert. Carpenter hit .257 with a .282 BABIP and a .812 OPS vs. righties, compared to just .217/.227/.638 vs. lefties.

Prop #3: Eugenio Suarez Under 0.5 hits

+115 at BetMGM

Eugenio Suarez had a career year with 49 home runs and 118 RBI, but the power hitter still hasn’t found his groove with the Mariners since being reacquired from the Diamondbacks at the trade deadline.

Suarez hit a disappointing .189 in 53 regular-season outings with Seattle and has gone 0-for-8 at the dish with four Ks in his first two games of the postseason.

That drought actually extends back into the regular season, with Suarez going 0-for-21 with 10 strikeouts over his last five contests.

The Mariners have managed just 14 hits so far in the ALDS, and I don’t see Suarez turning things around in a well-pitched series.
