Mariners vs Rangers Prediction, Picks & Odds for Today’s MLB Game

Kumar Rocker was highly coveted out of Vanderbilt, and he’s finally arrived in the big leagues. The right-hander hasn’t exactly thrived in 2025, though, going 3-4 in eight starts with a 6.68 ERA. Opponents are hitting .319 off the hard-throwing youngster.

However, the numbers don’t tell the entire picture. He’s honestly just had a couple of brutal outings that have destroyed his ERA. As of late, Rocker has pitched better. He’s cashed the Under in earned runs allowed in back-to-back starts, surrendering two to the Pittsburgh Pirates a week ago and throwing five scoreless in the outing before that against the Chicago White Sox.

The main focus for me here is Rocker’s statistics at Globe Life Field. In three starts in Arlington this season, he owns a 2.12 ERA, posting a 2-0 record in the process. Rocker has given up just four earned runs in 17 frames at home.

The Seattle Mariners are hitting .250 across 20 at-bats against Rocker with eight strikeouts. He’s trending in the right direction, and I expect him to keep Seattle’s offense in check today.

Julio Rodriguez had a monster performance in the series opener on Friday, going 3-for-5 with a double as the Mariners grabbed an extra-innings victory. J-Rod is hitting .255 on the year and his average rises to .282 on the road.

Rodriguez has collected at least one hit in six of his last eight games. He’s also had success against Rocker in the past, going 2 for 4. The superstar will stay hot today and find some green space in Arlington.

Bryan Woo has looked phenomenal for the Mariners this year and he has fantastic command. The righty has only allowed 15 walks in 95.1 innings of work. He also has a 3.12 ERA and 7-4 record in 15 starts.

Woo hasn’t given up more than two free passes in a single outing in 2025, but he has allowed at least one in five straight appearances. That’s still brilliant, but expect him to at least surrender one walk here.
