Mariners vs Blue Jays Home Run Picks & Best Bets for ALCS Game 2

Cal Raleigh went deep off Kevin Gausman in Game 1 and led the majors in long balls in the regular season. We're backing him again in Game 2 of the ALCS, along with a bounce-back performance from Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays clash in Game 2 of the ALCS today, with the hosts looking to bounce back after a Game 1 loss.

My MLB player props and home run analysis will highlight two players from this one – Cal Raleigh and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

Today's Mariners vs. Blue Jays predictions expect the big boppers will come to play for our MLB picks on Monday, October 13.

Mariners home run pick

Cal Raleigh (+280 at BetMGM)

Cal Raleigh has been a Toronto Blue Jays killer, especially at the Rogers Centre. The slugger showed just that in Game 1, smacking a game-tying home run in the sixth inning. Raleigh has now homered nine times in just 14 contests at Toronto.

He’ll see an unfamiliar arm tonight in rookie Trey Yesavage, whom Raleigh has never faced. While the righty is a tough matchup for anybody, Raleigh is clearly as confident as can be at the Rogers Centre. It also helps that he hits from both sides of the plate, making any matchup more difficult for the opposing pitcher.

The “Big Dumper” is hitting .400 in these playoffs with two round-trippers. Whether it’s off Yesavage or a Jays reliever, it won't surprise me when he leaves the yard again.

Blue Jays home run pick

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+400 at BetMGM)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been one of the driving forces behind Toronto’s run to the ALCS. While he had a quiet Game 1, Guerrero Jr is still batting .429 in the postseason with three home runs. Two of those have come at home in Games 1 and 2 of the ALDS against the New York Yankees.

The Seattle Mariners send Logan Gilbert to the mound in Game 2, and Vladdy is 6-for-15 lifetime against him with four extra-base hits, with two leaving the yard. Gilbert is home run-prone at times, allowing 20 in 25 regular-season starts.

After going 0-for-4 on Sunday, I expect the Blue Jays’ best hitter to respond, and it might just be in the most emphatic way possible.
