The Seattle Mariners (57-51) and Athletics (47-63) conclude a three-game series at Sutter Health Park after splitting Games 1 and 2.

Bryan Woo and Jeffrey Springs take the mound, and I’m eyeing the Under with the total priced up at 9.5.

See why my Mariners vs. Athletics predictions and MLB picks are expecting a low-scoring game for Wednesday, July 30.

Mariners vs A's prediction

My Mariners vs A's best betUnder 9.5 (-102 at BetMGM)

The first two games of the series both cashed the Under with ease, sending the Seattle Mariners to 2-7 O/U in their last nine and the Athletics to 1-6 O/U in their last seven.

The books see two good hitting teams in a Minor League park with favorable weather for offense, and naturally continue to set the total higher than is typical in MLB games.

Seattle sends out Bryan Woo and his stellar 2.91 ERA. The 25-year-old has developed into one of the most valuable innings eaters around, allowing no more than two earned runs in six of his last seven outings.

His pitching counterpart, Jeffrey Springs, has faced the Mariners twice this season with much success. The southpaw allowed just two earned runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out 13 across 11 IP.

The Mariners have good offensive numbers overall this month but have been more hit-or-miss lately, scoring two earned runs or fewer in six of their last nine contests.

Both teams have effective bullpens, with the Athletics’ in particular pitching much better lately (3.55 SIERA in July) after a brutal start to the season, and both teams’ closers are available.

Mariners vs A's same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 9.5

Bryan Woo Over 5.5 strikeouts

Cal Raleigh Over 1.5 total bases

Woo has recorded 6+ strikeouts in six of his last seven starts (8.2 average) and faces an Athletics lineup with the highest K rate (25.9%) against right-handed pitching in July.

Cal Raleigh has been positively superhuman against lefties this season (220 wRC+). There’s still plenty of room for him to record 2+ total bases while this game stays Under the lofty total.
