HR picks for July 10
Juan Soto (+300 at DraftKings)
Juan Soto is starting to heat up over the last month and a half, showing why the Mets handed him a $765 million contract.
The slugger went deep 11 times in June and has taken his home run total to 21 on the season. He’s also left the yard five times in his last 14 contests.
Today’s matchup will have Soto’s eyes lighting up. The Baltimore Orioles send Charlie Morton to the hill, and Soto is 8-for-12 lifetime against him with three homers. He can do no wrong with Morton on the mound.
Soto has 10 long balls on the road this season and has done the majority of his HR damage off right-handed hurlers, with 17 bombs. Morton has been better lately but he’s still prone to the homer. Soto has a real chance at hitting No. 22 this afternoon.
Aaron Judge (+195 at DraftKings)
There isn’t one player in the majors I include more often in my HR picks than Aaron Judge, but it’s for good reason.
Judge is hitting .360 and already has 34 home runs for the year with the All-Star break right around the corner. He's also off to a ridiculous start to begin July.
The reigning AL MVP is batting .429 this month with four long balls in just eight games. He’s left the ballpark in three of his last five appearances and just had homers in back-to-back contests earlier in the week.
While Judge will be up against Seattle Mariners All-Star Bryan Woo tonight, he is 3-for-8 lifetime against him.
He hasn’t taken Woo deep (yet), but we’re talking about the best power hitter in the sport. It doesn’t matter who is on the bump when Judge is this hot. Plus, Woo has had troubles with the home run this season despite his elite ERA, giving up 14 in 17 starts.
Jonathan Aranda (+500 at DraftKings)
Jonathan Aranda is having a nice campaign for the Tampa Bay Rays. The first baseman is hitting .327 with 11 home runs and 49 RBI, serving as one of the team’s most consistent hitters.
The Mexico native just went deep on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers, and he’ll be up against Walker Buehler tonight in an AL East matchup with the Boston Red Sox.
Aranda happens to be 2-for-4 lifetime against the struggling Buehler with a bomb. All 11 of his long balls have came against right-handed pitchers, and Buehler isn’t exactly thriving in 2025.
He has a 6.25 ERA and has given up 15 home runs in 15 starts this season. Buehler has also allowed seven bombs in his last six outings.
Aranda is catching the starter at the perfect time, and he’s known for taking righties deep. He already has a homer against the Red Sox this season, as well.
