HR picks for July 19

Junior Caminero (+340 at DraftKings)

Junior Caminero is coming off a very impressive performance in the Home Run Derby, finishing in second place behind Seattle Mariners star Cal Raleigh. The young Dominican immediately carried that long ball brilliance into the second half on Friday, as he’s terrorized the Baltimore Orioles.

Caminero was 3-for-5 with a pair of bombs in an 11-1 victory over the O’s. He’s now up to 25 home runs on the year, and tonight’s matchup happens to play in Caminero’s favor.

He’s 3-for-4 lifetime against Dean Kremer, who is prone to the long ball. The right-hander has allowed 14 homers in 19 appearances this season.

Nineteen of Caminero’s homers have come against right-handed pitchers, and he’s also slugged 16 at home. The 22-year-old is red-hot, so don’t be shocked if he goes deep again.

Mike Trout (+260 at DraftKings)

Mike Trout has been smashing baseballs since returning from the IL in late May.

The veteran is batting .286 this month with four homers. Overall, he’s left the ballpark 17 times, and he’ll be liking the matchup today.

The Los Angeles Angels face the Philadelphia Phillies, who send Taijuan Walker to the mound. Trout is 11-for-19 lifetime against Walker with three homers.

He can do no wrong with Walker on the hill, and the righty has struggled at times this season as he’s pitched both in the rotation and the bullpen. Walker has given up seven homers in 20 appearances, and six of them have occurred at home.

Although Trout has never gone deep at Citizens Bank Park, the writing is on the wall for him to find home run No. 18 here. He’s also gone deep three times in his last six games.

Juan Soto (+275 at DraftKings)

Juan Soto is finally coming alive, and that’s phenomenal news for the Mets. The $765 million man is batting .262 with 24 homers and 57 RBI.

The long balls are a common occurrence lately, smacking three in his last four appearances. Soto went deep on Friday in a 8-4 loss to the Cincinnati Reds.

New York is back at it today with Cincy, who hand Nick Martinez the baseball. While it’s an incredibly small sample size, Soto is 1-for-1 lifetime against him with a home run. Soto has done most of his damage against right-handed hurlers as well with 19 bombs.

Martinez has given up 14 long balls in 21 appearances in 2025. Soto is back to his confident self, which is a scary sight for opposing arms. Martinez could certainly be the latest pitcher he takes deep.
