Marcell Ozuna has been one of the Atlanta Braves’ best power hitters this season and I’ll dive into why he could go deep tonight in my MLB player props analysis.

I’ll also include Freddie Freeman and Fernando Tatis Jr. in my home run picks on Wednesday, April 30.

Best MLB home run props today

  • Braves Ozuna (+250)
  • Dodgers Freeman (+380)

HR picks for April 30

Marcell Ozuna (+250 at DraftKings)

Marcell Ozuna is having a very solid start to the 2025 campaign, hitting .295 with five home runs in 26 games. He’s consistently finding green space and has five hits in his last five games, including a bomb. While the Atlanta Braves DH is not at the top of the leaderboards in long balls, he’s certainly capable of leaving the ballpark.

The veteran smacked 39 homers last season and 40 in 2023. He’s a serious power threat. The Colorado Rockies send Chase Dollander to the hill this afternoon. He has an ERA north of 7.00 and has surrendered eight home runs in 19 1/3 innings of work.

Although he’s never faced anyone in this lineup, including Ozuna, this is the perfect opportunity for the slugger to go yard. He’s already swinging it well and another one could find the bleachers in the Mile High City.

Freddie Freeman (+380 at DraftKings)

Freddie Freeman has been one of the most consistent hitters in MLB for years and nothing has changed in 2025. He’s batting .308 through 19 contests, including four home runs.

The 35-year-old has three multi-hit games during his current five-game hitting streak and went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night. The Los Angeles Dodgers face them again today and they hand Cal Quantrill the baseball. Freeman is hitting .533 lifetime against the Canadian right-hander, going 8-for-15.

Although Freeman has never taken Quantrill deep, he has had immense success against him. He’ll continue to swing it at a high level and could very well smack his fifth home run of the season.

Fernando Tatis Jr. (+350 at DraftKings)

Fernando Tatis Jr. leads the San Diego Padres in homers with eight. He’s also batting .330 with 18 RBI and 24 runs scored. The Dominican has five hits in his last four contests, and while only one of those has been for extra bases, it does feel like only a matter of time until he gets under one and leaves the ballpark.

The superstar hasn’t gone deep since April 20 — a span of seven games. The Padres face the San Francisco Giants this afternoon, and Tatis batted .313 against them last season with four home runs in 13 meetings. They send Landen Roupp to the mound, and he has an ERA over 7.00 and has given up three homers in his last three outings.

Also, five of Tatis' eight long balls have come at Petco Park. Given the way he’s swinging it at home, this bet has piqued my interest.

  1. Elly De La Cruz Reds (+290)
  2. Shohei Ohtani Dodgers (+230)
  3. Aaron Judge Yankees (+205)
