Philadelphia's left-handed bats should see plenty of right-handed pitching with two of Cincinnati's three lefties in the bullpen likely unavailable.
The matchup also sets up well against Brady Singer. Left-handed hitters own a .910 OPS against him this season.
On the other side, Jesus Luzardo has been dominant over the last 30 days, allowing just six earned runs and one home run across his last five starts (30 1/3 innings). Philly has won eight straight Luzardo starts, with six of those coming on the road.
The Phillies have also been winning comfortably, with 15 of their last 18 victories over the past 30 days coming by multiple runs.

Both starting pitchers enter Thursday with poor ratings in Batters-Box’s current season dataset. Meanwhile, the Padres and Diamondbacks combine for five elite-rated hitters and three strong-rated bats.
While both offenses have gone cold over the past week, I believe this is a prime bounce-back spot. Both pitchers have allowed plenty of hard contact and elevated barrel rates in their recent outings, which could give these lineups the opportunity to break out against vulnerable arms.

Texas has been one of baseball's best offenses against left-handed pitching over the past month, ranking fourth in OPS. The Rangers now draw Reid Detmers, who's surrendered five earned runs in two of his last three starts.
Nathan Eovaldi has been his usual reliable self, helping the Rangers win five of his last six outings, while the Angels have managed just a .651 OPS in 101 combined at-bats against him.
