Cubs vs Brewers best bet analysis
Milwaukee Brewers leadoff man Jackson Chourio is cruising along a 20-game hitting streak with 31 hits, 16 runs, and 17 RBI to the tune of a monster 1.056 OPS.
He’s also been lights out all season against left-handed pitchers with an elite .417 wOBA, .235 ISO, and .980 OPS.
While this is a daunting matchup against Chicago Cubs southpaw Matthew Boyd on the surface, statistical correction looms for the first-year North Sider.
To start, Boyd’s sterling 2.22 ERA is miles below his 3.77 xFIP. Additionally, his 82% strand rate and .270 BABIP are likely unsustainable given his respective 66.4% and .294 marks over the past two seasons.
Pitching on the road has also been slightly tougher for the lefty. Boyd’s ERA, WHIP, and BB/9 are all higher on the highway, while his K/9 is lower.
Cubs vs Brewers same-game parlay analysis
Milwaukee rookie Jacob Misiorowski has been dealing since arriving in the bigs, and he’s struck out six or more batters in five of his past six starts. Innings and pitch counts coming for Misiorowski, but this is a huge game, and he only threw 64 pitches across 3 2/3 frames last time out.
He'll pitch deep enough to hit the number tonight, given his high-end 12.27 K/9 and 35.7 K%.
Turning to the final leg of this same-game parlay, Cubs first baseman Michael Busch is another rising star, and he’s teed off on right-handed pitchers this season to the tune of a .409 wOBA, .274 ISO, and .958 OPS.
Busch is also reeling along a mini 5-for-40 stretch at the dish with an unsustainably low .150 BABIP alongside a solid 45.5% hard-hit rate.
