The weather forecast is calling for the Windy City to live up to its name, with it blowing in briskly for tonight’s tilt between the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs.

My Brewers vs. Cubs predictions call for a low-scoring result in the fourth meeting of their five-game set.

Find out why in my MLB picks for Wednesday, August 20.

Brewers vs Cubs prediction

Brewers vs Cubs best bet: Under 7 (-125)

Chicago Cubs starter Colin Rea has been sneaky good down the stretch and allowed two runs or fewer in seven of his past nine starts for a 3.35 ERA and 1.12 WHIP.

There are definitely more question marks surrounding Milwaukee Brewers rookie Jacob Misiorowski, after he was roughed up in his return to action last time out.

While Misiorowski allowed five earned across just 1 1/3 innings, his prior body of work stands out, and he’s had nearly a full month to recover from the tibia contusion he sustained on July 28.

Of course, as noted, the pitching conditions should be favorable tonight with the wind gusting in at Wrigley Field.

As a result, I’m also anticipating a bounce-back start from Misiorowski given his high-end 2.70 ERA and 0.96 WHIP across his first seven starts in the bigs.

Brewers vs Cubs same-game parlay (SGP)

Both Brewers outfielder Isaac Collins and Cubs first baseman Michael Busch have been excellent against right-handed pitchers this season, and their uncorrelated legs in this same-game parlay are a nice multiplier for the final odds.

Collins sports a .299 batting average against righties, and Busch checks in at .277. Additionally, Collins is at a rock-solid .308 overall mark in August.

Busch has struggled this month with a .164 batting average, but it’s also tied to an unsustainably low .167 BABIP despite posting an excellent 42.2% hard-hit rate.
