The Arizona Diamondbacks plate a run in the first inning at the highest rate in the majors, and that, combined with a struggling starter, has me betting on an early run to be scored in tonight's clash against the San Francisco Giants.

My MLB picks for today also include betting on runs to be scored in the first inning at Coors and Citi Field.

Here are my best free YRFI and NRFI bets for Tuesday, July 1.

NRFI/YRFI bets for July 1

Giants at Diamondbacks: YRFI/NRFI (-114 at ProphetX)

The Arizona Diamondbacks plate a run in the first inning at the highest rate in the majors (35.7%), and they rank third in OPS (.776).

They should be able to get to San Francisco Giants righty Hayden Birdsong, who has been given the start today. Birdsong has been far more effective coming out of the bullpen, and he owns an ugly 5.40 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP in seven starts.

That said, Arizona has an even worse pitcher on the mound in Zac Gallen, who sports a 5.75 ERA through 17 starts. Gallen has a 6.97 ERA over his last 10 appearances and faces a Giants lineup that is more dangerous at the top after trading for Rafael Devers.

Brewers at Mets: YRFI (+108 at ProphetX)

On the surface, this seems like a game where you wouldn't expect many early runs. After all, both starting pitchers have an ERA below 3.00, and the Milwaukee Brewers rank just 27th in first-inning run rate.

That said, Milwaukee's Freddy Peralta has an expected ERA of 3.74, and New York Mets starter Clay Holmes owns an xERA of 4.12.

The Brewers have also been hitting significantly better on the road, where they sit fifth in the majors in OPS (.747). Meanwhile, the Mets are seventh in OPS (.740), with that number ticking up to .761 against righties like Peralta.

Astros at Rockies: YRFI (-140 at ProphetX)

Anytime you can get the YRFI prop for a game at Coors Field at -140 or better, you have to seriously consider it. Not only is this game taking place at the most hitter-friendly venue in baseball, but there's also an 8 mph breeze blowing toward the outfield.

The Colorado Rockies will be sending Chase Dollander to the hill tonight. The right-hander possesses a 6.06 ERA through 13 starts, and that ERA ramps up to 8.54 with an OBA of .306 at home.

After a slow start to the season at the dish, the Houston Astros have turned things around, batting .265 since the start of May. They'll have rookie Colton Gordon on the mound, and he has an OBA of .344 in the opening frame.
