NRFI/YRFI bets for September 6

Red Sox at Diamondbacks: YRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

The YRFI bet is the obvious play in this matchup with a pair of terrible starters and strong offenses.

The Boston Red Sox are starting Lucas Giolito, who is in the bottom 15th percentile in expected ERA (5.17) and the bottom 20th percentile in expected batting average (.272).

Meanwhile, the Arizona Diamondbacks are sending Brandon Pfaadt to the hill. Pfaadt has been one of the worst starters in the majors, sitting in the bottom fifth percentile in xERA (5.82) and xBA (.304).

The D-backs are fifth in the majors in OPS (.760) and second in run-first inning rate (36.6%). Meanwhile, the BoSox are seventh in OPS (.751) and ninth in run-first-inning percentage (31%).

Athletics at Angels: YRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

The Athletics are sixth in the majors in OPS (.752) and fifth in run-first inning rate (32.4%). They also hit well against lefties and should have success tonight against Los Angeles Angels southpaw Yusei Kikuchi, who has a 4.54 xERA.

That said, the A's have an even worse starter on the mound in J.T. Ginn. Ginn has a 5.17 ERA, with that number jumping to 7.50 in the first inning.

The Halos are third in the majors in run-first-inning rate (35.5%) and should be able to get to Ginn early.

Astros at Rangers: NRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

The NRFI bet for this game is set around -160, but that's still value with two of the best pitchers in the AL on the hill.

The Houston Astros are giving the pill to Hunter Brown who has a 2.34 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP through 27 starts. The Texas Rangers counter with two-time NL Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom who has pitched to a 2.69 ERA with a 0.92 WHIP through  26 starts.

The Rangers are 25th in the majors in OPS (.695) and the top of their lineup has been decimated by injuries with Corey Seager, Adolis Garcia, and Marcus Semien sidelined.

Meanwhile, the Astros are 25th in the majors in run first inning percentage (25.4%) and are missing sluggers Isaac Paredes and Jake Meyers.
