NRFI/YRFI bets for August 15

Mariners at Mets: YRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

The Seattle Mariners are third in the majors in OPS on the road (.763) while plating a run in the first inning in a whopping 38.3% of their away games.

They'll be at Citi Field tonight to face the New York Mets and lefty Sean Manaea. The lefty has been rocked in his last two starts, surrendering 13 hits and nine earned runs in 9 2/3 innings.

The M's counter with Luis Castillo, whose underlying metrics have been significantly worse than his surface-level stats. Castillo has been shaky away from pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park, pitching to a 4.31 ERA with a .292 OBA on the road.

The Mets have been hitting well recently, ranking ninth in the majors in OPS (.760) while plating 5.2 runs per game over the last 15 days.

Marlins at Red Sox: YRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

It's amazing what three years can do with Sandy Alcantara going from the NL Cy Young winner to one of the worst starters in the bigs. The Miami Marlins righty has pitched to a 6.55 ERA this season, with that number ballooning to 8.87 in 10 starts on the road.

Tonight he'll be at Fenway Park to face a Boston Red Sox squad that is third in the majors in OPS (.786) at home.

Boston will give the pill to Lucas Giolito, who is in the Bottom 15th percentile in expected ERA (5.26) and expected batting average (.281). He'll have a tough time navigating a Marlins lineup that is 10th in the majors in OPS (.722) and fourth in BA (.258) on the road.

Rays at Giants: YRFI (Play at Thrillzz)

The San Francisco Giants have struggled at the dish but will have a favorable matchup tonight against Tampa Bay Rays starter Joe Boyle.

Boyle was lit up in his previous outing and while he has elite velocity, he's a fly-ball pitcher who gets hit extremely hard. That doesn't bode well for tonight with the wind blowing at 25 mph towards the outfield at Oracle Park.

Landen Roupp returns from a three-week stint on the IL to toe the rubber for the Giants. He could be rusty after making just one rehab start on Sunday, allowing a pair of runs in three innings at Triple-A Sacramento.

Roupp has an xERA of 4.05 with an xBA of .254, and he faces a Rays lineup that is second in the majors in batting average (.261) against righties.
