Lamar Jackson’s uncertain health status has sent the line for the Baltimore Ravens' Sunday Night Football matchup with the Atlanta Falcons into a sharp swing.
- Jackson has not yet been ruled out of Sunday’s matchup.
- DraftKings’ lookahead odds had the Ravens as -6 favorites.
- The Falcons won their last two games by a combined score of 80-38.
Jackson is off to a brilliant start to his season, posting 967 passing yards on a career-high 70.8% completion rate, six touchdowns, and an interception to go with 144 rushing yards on a career-best 7.6 yards per carry and another score.
His excellence and recent injury has left sportsbooks in limbo. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said there is an “outside chance” that the two-time MVP will be a full go on Sunday night.
The injury occurred on the Ravens’ final offensive play of the first half against the Tennessee Titans. Jackson had 222 passing yards and two touchdowns at that point. The Ravens did not score another point in the contest but still won 24-18.

DraftKings opened its Week 5 lookahead odds with the Ravens as -6 favorites. The line dropped to -3.5 on Sunday night before moving to Baltimore +3, a full nine-point swing.
The total also dropped, from 46.5 on Sunday evening to 43.5, with slight juice on the over.
Ravens' odds in flux
The Ravens are 6-11 without Jackson in the lineup since he became their full-time starter in 2019, including a 2-5 record in their last seven games without him.
Seven-year veteran Tyler Huntley would start if Jackson is ruled out. He completed 8 of 9 pass attempts for 63 yards and ran four times for 16 yards Sunday. He has thrown 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions and rushed for five scores in 31 career games.
NFL teams typically rule players out Friday if they aren’t true game-time decisions. “Out,” “limited,” and “full” health statuses will be disclosed on practice reports shared Wednesday and Thursday.
The sizable movement in betting markets is a strong indicator that oddsmakers believe the Ravens will start Huntley.
Jackson is currently fifth in DraftKings’ NFL MVP odds at +800, giving him an 11.1% implied chance of winning the award for a third time. Only Josh Allen (+270), Brock Purdy (+330), Trevor Lawrence (+650), and Patrick Mahomes (+650) are closer to the trophy.
The Ravens are 3-1, tied for the best record in the AFC North. DraftKings still has them tied with the San Francisco 49ers for third in Super Bowl odds (+850), trailing only the Los Angeles Rams (+650) and Buffalo Bills (+750).
The Falcons, meanwhile, have looked excellent since they got Michael Penix Jr. back under center. They beat the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints by a combined score of 80-38 in the last two weeks, winning both games by exactly 21 points.
