Caitlin Clark’s popularity with bettors hasn’t worn off heading into the second year of her career.

Key Takeaways

  • Clark is getting 64.2% of the money at BetMGM and 66% of the handle at FanDuel to win WNBA MVP.
  • Sportsbooks are offering numerous special markets for Clark stats.
  • The Indiana Fever are also a popular bet to win the league championship.

The Indiana Fever phenom became a star and betting sensation during last year’s rookie season in the WNBA, so it’s no surprise that she’s dominating the futures market at several online sportsbooks.

“Caitlin has seen her odds to win WNBA MVP move from +250 to +195. Fifty percent of bets and 64.2% of money are on Clark to win the award,” BetMGM’s John Ewing told Covers. “She is getting 3-4 times as many bets/money as the next most popular player.”

DraftKings and FanDuel also told Covers on Monday that Clark is the most-bet player to win the WNBA MVP Award this season, which begins May 17 for the Fever. Clark is getting 50% of the handle and 58% of the wagers at DraftKings.

FanDuel reported that 47% of MVP tickets and a whopping 66% of the money have come in a Clark, who’s tied with A'ja Wilson at the top of the market with WNBA MVP odds of +200. The Las Vegas Aces star has won the honor three times since 2020, including last season.

Minnesota’s Napheesa Collier has the next shortest odds at +380. Everyone else in FanDuel’s market is listed at +1,200 or higher.

Clark specials

Clark had a spectacular first season, averaging 19.2 points per game and leading the league with 8.4 assists per contest on her way to receiving WNBA Rookie of the Year.

Games involving the Fever saw a 380% wagering increase compared to the baseline game between the Seattle Storm and Washington Mystics, according to betting behavior analysis from Optimove Insights in June 2024

Clark dominated player prop betting last summer as well, setting up even more wagering markets before this season begins. FanDuel said it's running a series of specials for the Fever star.

The most popular bet by tickets is Clark to record 12 or more made 3-pointers in any game this regular season, with odds of +1,400. Clark to record 20-plus assists in any game at +550 is the most popular special market by handle.

DraftKings is offering 11 Fever markets involving Clark, including the guard to record 10-plus triple-doubles with odds of +2,500.

Title market

Clark’s success and popularity are carrying over into team futures as well. DraftKings said Indiana is getting a massive 84% of the handle and 43% of the tickets to win the WNBA Finals, the most of any team.

The Fever’s 41% bet count and 57% handle to win the title are the most of any squad at FanDuel as well. The Fever are listed third in the market with WNBA championship odds of +350 behind the New York Liberty (+220) and Minnesota Lynx (+340).
