A lucky visitor to Circa Resort and Casino in downtown Las Vegas landed the win of a lifetime after hitting a million-dollar jackpot on the Dragon Link slot game.

Key Takeaways

  • A gambler at Circa Resort and Casino has won a jackpot over $1 million
  • The lucky player bet $250 on the spin
  • The major win comes just before Circa Resort and Casino hosts its “Slotapalooza” event

According to a Facebook post that the casino shared on Sunday, the guest wagered $250 and watched the reels until a jackpot notification appeared on the screen, showing they had won a total prize of $1,082,545.37. At the time of the jackpot win, the visitor still had $2,164 in credits remaining.

Based along the Fremont Street Experience, Circa Resort and Casino has built a reputation for big wins since it opened in 2020.

This wasn’t the only big win in Vegas recently, however. A lucky gambler at Harry Reid International Airport turned a $5 stake into a massive $1.8 million prize on a Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Red Hot 7s slot machine.

The win happened in May near the D Gates area of the airport. Although details about the individual have not been disclosed, the total payout was confirmed as $1,816,404.94. Photos of the slot machine lighting up after the win were also shared on social media, which generated a buzz and a reminder that jackpots can strike even in unexpected places, though your chances of landing one remain astronomically small.

Circa prepares for “Slotapalooza” and record sports betting contest

The publicity over the big slot win was well timed for Circa Resort and Casino, which is preparing for an event called “Slotapalooza” on July 19. The event will be based around an all-day slot tournament on Cleopatra machines, followed by an evening celebration with live entertainment, an open bar, and cash giveaways.

The tournament’s top prize includes a Game King Poker machine or $2,500 in cash, with extra prizes awarded to the top 50 qualifiers. Lucky players could also receive $5,000 in slot free play.

The operator is also making waves in the sports betting world. Circa Sports has announced a record-breaking $15 million guarantee for its Circa Survivor NFL betting contest, now the largest legal sports betting prize pool in U.S. history. The brand is also set to launch Circa Grandissimo, a premium survivor contest with a $1.5 million guarantee and an entry fee of $100,000.
