Las Vegas Downtown's Circa Resort & Casino will celebrate a milestone this summer with the debut of "Slotapalozza," a colossal slot machine party on July 19.
Key Takeaways
- Circa Resort launches "Slotapalozza," the "world’s largest slot party," on July 19
- The event features $15K tournament prizes, $5K raffles, and an open bar party
- The property is also expanding its NFL contests with a $15M Survivor pool and new $100K-entry Grandissimo tournament
Slotapalozza has been promoted as the "World's Largest Slot Party," and as such, it will provide slot players with a full day of competitive play opportunities, entertainment, and the ability to win.
The highlight of Slotapalozza is a slots tournament from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Circa Collections area on the resort's second floor. One tournament entry per gambler will be awarded, providing two minutes of timed gaming.
The top 50 scorers in the tournament will be rewarded, and the champion will receive either a choice of a Game King Poker slots machine or a $2,500 cash award. The tournament will pay out a total of $15,000 worth of free slots play to the top scorers.
To maintain the players active throughout the event, Circa will also have "hot seat" raffles featuring another $5,000 in free play slots. Participants will be awarded a prize every 90 seconds during a set 15-minute window to create continuous play and activity on the casino floor.
The official party will kick off at 7 p.m. and include a two-hour open bar to enhance the party atmosphere. All players who stop by any participating slot game during this hour of the night will receive a commemorative "1312 Club" T-shirt as a special item in recognition of the anniversary and theme of the party.
Co-CEO and owner Derek Stevens called the event a celebration of the day-to-day enthusiasm and energy brought by the slots players to the casino. He positioned Slotapalozza as being in line with Circa's greater mission of creating interactive high-volume entertainment offerings.
Circa keeps raising the gambling bar
Apart from the launch of Slotapalozza, Circa also recently announced upgrades to its 2025 NFL handicapping contests. The Circa Survivor contest will boast a record-breaking $15 million prize pool this year, up from $10 million.
Each week, participants pick a straight-up winner and may not pick a team more than once. The 2024 contest had 14,266 participants and a $14.2 million prize pool. Winning 20-0 for the season is an unusual phenomenon, but was achieved by eight players who shared the top prize.
To meet the demand for increased high-stakes competition, Circa is launching a new tournament, Circa Grandissimo. The Grandissimo will be identical to the Survivor tournament, but for a smaller and higher-end group of players. The buy-in will be $100,000 with a two-entry limit per player.
The winner in this high-level competition will receive at least $1.5 million.
