GULFSTREAM PARK, RACE 3

1 Mile, Purse: $20,000, Claiming $12.5k, Post: 2:09 p.m. ET

No. 10 UNCLE ANDREW (7/2): He gets another try racing over the turf making his debut for new connections and a new rider in Tyler Gaffalione. Two starts back this gelding was able to take advantage of a perfect trip and kick away late in deep stretch.

Although the outside post isn't the most favorable here, a trip similar to his effort two starts back versus much tougher would definitely land this gelding in the winners circle.

GULFSTREAM PARK, RACE 7

1 Mile, Purse: $20,000, Claiming $12.5k, Post: 4:17 p.m. ET

No. 1 CHASING THE CANDY (3/1): Returns to racing on the dirt where he's definitely been at his best and also gets to drop in class. On paper he does appear to be the lone speed in here, and I would expect this gelding to take advantage of an inside draw and secure the front end early.

His two career wins have both come in gate to wire fashion, and I would expect a similar effort versus this lower level claiming field today.

OAKLAWN PARK, RACE 6

6 Furlongs, Purse: $60,000 Maiden, Post: 4:36 p.m. ET

No. 6 SILARDI (10/1): When it comes to maiden runners and first time starters, I like to follow trainer trends and back trainers who have historically flaunted good numbers with first timers. Trainer Peter Miller is no exception connecting at a 15 percent clip.

This colt has shown quite a bit of speed in his recent works and could definitely be a factor especially if he's put into play early. The price will be fair to take a shot on this colt making his pari-mutuel debut.

OAKLAWN PARK, RACE 8

1 Mile and 1/16th, Purse: $80,000 Gardenia Stakes, Post: 5:38 p.m. ET

No. 10 ANTOINETTE (8/1): Only has two starts over the dirt, but she has looked good in both of those efforts. Today she gets another try racing at the mile and a sixteenth distance and drops in class out of the graded stakes ranks to regular stakes company.

Expect her to be put into play early and involved in the pace scenario. With the addition of John Velazquez on board today, she could definitely be a factor.

OAKLAWN PARK, RACE 9

1 Mile and 1/16th, Purse: $400,000 Fantasy Stakes, Post: 6:09 p.m. ET

No. 2 VENETIAN HARBOR (2/1): This filly along with BRITISH IDIOM appear, at least on paper, to be the clear standouts. She's looked incredibly impressive in her two most recent efforts winning by a combined 19 and a quarter lengths!

There is quite a bit of speed in here, but this filly will be the one dictating the tempo on the front end. Although this is the longest she's raced distance wise, she's proven every bit the part of a superstar filly in the making.
