8-1 verdict...

"Church members have staged protests at 600 plus funerals with signs that read: “GOD HATS people” “THANK GOD FOR DEAD SOLDIERS.”


I thought Judge Alito's perceptions of the issue was interesting as he was the only person that voted against the first amendment right based on a more practical view...

I'll give you a practical view.  Some one with nothing to lose is going to gun those f*&%ers down one day. 

If God hates homosexuals then he clearly would deprive the world of its best interior decorators.  Not my personal God, he splashes floral patterns hither, thither, and yon.

don't knock the westbrook baptist church.  these are the only true christians, or as close as we are going to get.  God tells us in the holy bible that we are to kill homseoxuals (and adulterers and virgins and fortunetellers and the list goes on and on, but we'll leave that one for another thread). 

these pseudo christians will vote against gays in the privacy of their votinhg booths but that's half ass christianity.  it doesn't get the job done.  these guys are the closest thing to following God's word on homosexuality. 

people Die, God Laughs.  read your bible people, start collecting some stones (literally and figuratively) and get with the program or find yourself in hell with the muslims and other infidels (unless Allah or one of the other 800 or so gods is the right one, then we may have a problem)

at least these westbrook baptist church folks actually read the book and are trying to comply.

i believe the argument was the intentional infliction of emotion harm, which is not 1st amendment protected.

nor do i agree with the christian nutjobs

but i do agree with the ruling, we dont want to go down the slippery slope

all sarcasm aside, i agree with the ruling, although i think it's close when you do shit that is likely to cause some violence.

the ruling has to be that way...and yes, I believe also someone is going to lose it one of these days and go Postal on that crowd.

I could see myself in that role given the circumstances.....

Dirt, quoting the old testament is always comedy.  that God was really involved in day to day issues.  Like if i was thirsty and wanted a big gulp I could pray real hard and an angel would bring me a big ass mountain dew.   
I have a different theory though.  I'm just guessing here but I think bibles/korans/toras were written by regular people and they put their own biases in as Gods word.  I know that sounds radical but that might be what really happened.

Acer,  if I was 80 and that was my grandson in that coffin, I might just want to go out with a bang.  I am personally curious how many i could get without letting one slip away free or partially wounded.  I think my reflexes and vision will be kind of suboptimal then, maybe only 25 or so.  
If theres some government stooge looking at this,please be aware it is a joke and in no way construes a real or implied threat from myself.  Please dont come knocking on my door either, i spook easy.

Also why would God want to give away HATS?

contrary to popular belief im not a const. lawyer.  that being said, it would have been interesting to hear the case for the plaintiff.  as a lay person, i can understand the reasoning, and frankly agree with the way AZ handled the protests when they had a buffer zone.

That's not what counts ..because there is support for them in the Constitution ...only their should be a six block perimeter ..a No-fly zone put in play ...

this is an interesting group of loonies. but in a way it relates to my life.
i used to go to church very occasionally just to make my semi-religious wife happy(and get laid more).  well the pastor starts talking about curing gays through prayer and usually i am just reading the old testament for grins due to boredom but i am listening now and i start to lose it with the guy.  my wife sees my adhd leg start whappin up and down due to tenseness because she knows i am getting pissed off.  nearly said something out loud.
well i got up and left and have never returned.  
if God exists, he loves gays as much as anyone else and he made them anyway.  we have destroyed the God of love and compassion and created instead this petulant, exclusionary Old Man that hates the world and all He created for His own errors.
