I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but for the love of God, why on earth is pinball football in this contest, much less mandatory?

If there is a sport on the planet that people give less of a fuck about, someone point it out.

Again, I appreciate what you guys do, but the decision to add AFL to this contest is a poor decision.

i just had to pick arena first time today.  I agree it is pretty frustrating as surely it is not something most of us here are less familiar with then other sports.  But as long as everyone is having to do an occasional  Arena mandatory pick, I see it as a fair across the board.

Everyone didn't have to pick Arena football.. check out the picks from the top of the leaderboard.   It should have been added in from the beginning not after thousands have alreay made their MLB, NHL, and NBA picks!

This is BS, you didn't have to pick it last night so it's not fair bc thousands of people were able to bypass it.  I waited last night to get a better NBA line on the game i was looking at as I knew it would move overnight in my favor, obviously would not have done so if I knew they were going to randomly spring this on us today.  So question, if we wait for the game to start will it let us choose from the other 3 sports or will they just say you missed your 4th pick and keep you at 3 picks for the day???  Would really appreciate any help on this tx!  PS if anyone knows a lot about this arena game today tell me which side to choose :)

when its all said and done you are going to be picking 340+ games so what if a handful are arena... people get so worked up over the most worthless things

I guess my post was too cryptic...If you looked at my picks today you would have seen I only picked 3 at the time of my post...then I waited until the Arena game started to pick my 4th pick.

Sometimes people pick from all one sport in the late night/early morning when the games are posted you'll only see one sport and you can pick all your picks then if you wanted to.

...but like the previous poster said it is no use to get so worked up over.

I'm sorry but this was ridiculous, if you want to put up Arena football, fine.  But put it up immediately w/ the rest of the games, absolutely inexcusable to wait until the next day for it to pop up.  I was going to do Blackhawks w/ my 4th pick and instead lost coinflipping arena football.  Then to make things worse the Tigers game got postponed.  I looked on scores and odds last night when I made the pick and there was no mention of inclement weather whatsoever.  I know what the rules say but its an absolutely illogical god awful rule.  Plenty of other baseball games were available to be picked when the game was called, no logical reason for users not to be able to repick.  So this site's god awful formatting turned a possible 4-0 day (was leaning phillies so most likely wouldve re-picked them) to a 2-1 day, cheating me of 2 valuable wins.

What? This storm system has been news for the last 3-4 days, it was supposed to be a super storm and Detroit was in the path... you might want to change your weather channel...IF the site is soooooooo bad... don't come back and play the FREE CONTEST  they provide...

It's fair.Why do so many people complain about a free contest?
For some reason, this seems to pop-up all the time,people complaining about these types of things.
Nobody is paying a cent to play it, so enjoy it!

lol, not this garbage again.  I wait til close to gametime to make my baseball picks because of threat of rain and you can't re-pick if a baseball game gets ppd.  So because of that stupid rule I wait, and my reward is randomly having arena football thrown at me at 5pm, such bs.

Are you completely dense?  It's not whether or not the storm system was coming it's where it was going to be in regards to the stadium during that timeframe.  The Mets game got delayed for 45 minutes, the Orioles game hit a rain delay in the 9th inning, the Braves game got delayed for over a hour after the 2nd inning, any of those games could've easily been PPD if the rain had came at a slightly different time or lasted longer.  By 6pm you had a good idea that the system was going to allow all 3 games to finish at some point that night but any of those 3 EASILY couldve been PPD if you blindly took them the night before.  Some people don't seem to understand the meaning of the word whining.  Just because it's free doesn't mean one shouldn't make factual observations of how the game could be fixed for the better in the future.  I always hear this logic and it's so absurdly wrong, accept mediocrity or leave, don't strive for any change, just because it's free doesn't mean that you can't expect better.  I'm not demanding or threatening anything I'm simply making factual observations.  Also its just a fact that it's just a stone cold fact that the game is not on equal ground if alternative sports are arbitrarily thrown in the mix in the middle of the day, it allows someone who happened to have time to make a pick at 1pm to pick a better game while someone else is punished by not being able to pick the same game simply because they couldn't log on until 2pm instead??  Again, this is my suggestion, albeit a logical one, if you don't have the lines out for the arena football (or any other alternative sport for that matter) when the rest of the lines are released then that sport shouldn't be eligible for any point on that day.  Please save the incessant "if you don't like it leave, it's free don't complain," any other generic comment which doesn't address a single point i made please just don't reply, thanks.

Covers makes the rules, the rules are stated, sometimes covers will throw a curveball for people that wait to pick to avoid picking a certain sport... its the chance you take. Now cry somewhere else

The current leader has 74 wins.  Out of those wins, 27 were used on baseball AND hockey money lines of -130 or above.  The second place leader has 14 wins at -130 above, and third place has 18 wins.  How many is too many?
