Culpepper sucks, how is he even in the discussion, he sucked last year and gets a free pass because he got hurt and now everyone forgot about the fact that he sucks. "oh he is still struggling with the injury" NO HE ISNT! HE SUCKS!
Leftwich is a good QB, i dont understand why they went away from running the ball vs INDY, that was working and they stopped doing it.

YA RUNNING WAS working........... but it show 7 points, jagz mess up when they got the ball IN THE goal line........... you need points vs the colts........... everyone knows that, cant hold that offense down forever.... not in there house, bottom line jagz had a chance 2 do something EARly in the 1st half and blew it....... and what have leftwich done this season that makes him a good qb?

Coughlin sounded through the roof after the game today, Kerry. He sounded like he could barely contain how pissed he was from the press. Funny thing, though, what did he really expect out of those three games? Did he honestly expect 2-1? Before the season started, did anyone have them down for better than 1-2 in those games? I had them at 1-2, flipping Indy and Philly.
They were dogs in every game, they played better teams in Seattle and Indy, at least based on their results last year, and they played a huge division rival in Philly. Now, should he have expected better performances--i.e., in the first three quarters in Philly and today? Maybe, but to start ripping people's heads off now I'm not sure is the right way to go.
That said, I think they kick the s**t out of Washington at home in two weeks. I think the Jags are going to be very, very physical with the 'Skins this week and even if Washington wins, they should be nice and tenderized for the Giants the following week.

Opposite for me KOAJ; was up 16K but lost back 12K to the local books, most of it was in the afternoon games and of course N.E. at night. I still don't understand about the afternoon games when all teams who were loosing at halftime ended covering the 2nd half. That killed me!!!

The Dolphins are a joke, Culpepper is officially a bust. 13-10 at home against Kerry Collins and the Titans? I'd shoot myself in the head if I was Saban. I don't think these guys will win more than 6 games.
The Colts officially have an achilles heel (besides the playoffs), they can't run the ball.
Detroit should never, ever be a 7 point fav against anyone. Correct that, they should never be any kind of fav against anyone.
I love the scrappy Jets, and I'll be taking them with the points again next week.
I think Pitt has lost too many key players and has become a 2nd tier team. Still a good team but too many assclowns to be a contender this year. Cowher looks like he's rather be fishing than coaching.
I said last week that Baltimore was over-rated, they proved it today. Kudos to the Browns for covering.

Arizona is still a piece of shit team, I said it last week and they also confirmed it today. On the flip side, I like this year's version of the Rams - decent D with a healthy Bulger makes these guys a good bet against the middle-of-the-road and shitty teams. Sort of a dark-horse team that doesn't get much respect, probably because the Mike Martz stink hasn't worn off yet.
Denver is starting to wake up, it took them a game last year, two games this year but they are a solid team on both sides of the ball. The running game looked good tonight and Shanahan got exactly what he wanted out of Plummer. I think I can start betting on these guys again.
Tom Brady needs some wide receivers, at least get the guy somebody to replace Branch. Like Pittsburgh, I think the Pats are slipping towards the middle of the pack.
I'm still not impressed by the Bengals but looking at that candyass schedule of theirs they are going to win a lot of games this year. Playoffs will be a different story.

agree, i had them sunday but they got lucky to win that game, their D still kinda sucks

Eli is now 3-9 ATS (career) on the road against .500+ home teams. That one win this year was the victory they pulled out of their asses in Philly.
The Dolphins were a WAY more effective team with the likes of Gus Frerotte and Jay Fiedler at QB. I guess some of us expected Fumblepepper to at least be more successful than those guys. I wasn't expecting him to throw like Marino or anything but this guy is making me wonder how much worse Joey Harrington could be.

So, I didn't put two and two together until this morning when I read it somewhere. And this was a little weird/embarrassing because I actually watched a good part of this game. But the Michael Robinson who looked really good against the Eagles in the second half yesterday running the ball, was the former starting QB at Penn St. last year. He's 'that' Michael Robinson.
I honestly had no idea. I heard in the combines that at first he was thinking about staying a QB, but after a day or so they moved him to WR and he really worked hard at that. I had no idea that since SF drafted the guy they'd moved him to RB of all things and now he comes in after Frank Gore. He was surprisingly good. I guess it sort of proves that thing Bellichick based much of the Pats on, if you get good football players with the right attitude you can move them around more than you think to fit your system. Good for Robinson.
Now, if only he could have kept SF out of the endzone with :08 to go in the game.

Today I learned that rookie TE Vernon Davis for SF will be out for about a month with a broken fibula.
I also was reminded that football's great and all, and it can make us (and lose us money), but it helps to keep both it and those who play it in perspective. I was reminded of this when I read the following this morning:
Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne apparently returned to Louisiana late Sunday to be with his family after his brother was killed earlier in the day when a delivery truck he was driving crashed into a highway guardrail near Kenner, La.
The guy was just driving a truck. That's it. Just doing his job. And now he's gone. Tough loss for the Wayne family. A reminder to the rest of us.
