Mr. B you must be chatting with some Boston natives here. I like your pick and I also think Indy wins by at least 10. 27-17. However I wouldn't mind seeing Vinaterri kick a game winner against the team he kicked two Superbowl winners for.

I think it was pretty obvious how/why new england won vs SD, it wont happen again. SD kept shooting themselves in the foot. they gave the game to new england. Brady had probably the worst game i've seen him play. new england was the cratfy veteran team vs San diego the more talented young team.

as for indy if you cant tell they are ready to win the super bowl then i think people are blind. their defense has stepped up big time now with sanders back. everyone knows the best way to beat indy was running the ball down their pathetic rush defense, keeping manning off the field and maybe getting a turnover or 2.

new englands run game is decent but i'm no fan of corey dillon, i think he'll get you 3yards/run if your lucky. Indy has been foaming at the mouth to win a championship and new england was the team that they couldnt beat before, well time is now on indy's side. new england isnt going to hang with them for 60 minutes. i think the game will get going early for indy, TD's this time manning is ready to have his time in the sun. addai and rhodes have become decent running backs and give them more balance before teams could just back up and play coverage. i never thought edgerrian james was good and he totalled up plenty of yards because teams had to respect indy's pass so much. the pats have to come to indy now and that will make it 10 times worse for them defensively, when the crowd is dead silent for payton and company audibles at the line of scrimmage.

If you can honestly say when you watched new england beat san diego that there good enough to beat indy then you shouldnt bet on it and just watch the game. it wont be a close game.

Very good post, papageorgio, because you agree with me. No, I'm just kidding, but while watching the Patriots and Chargers I said to someone on the phone "Would you want to have either of these teams in the (AFC) Final?" At many points in the game, both sides looked inept. Brady was missing open targets that he normally hits in his sleep. I didn't know what was wrong with him.

Mr. Bator....I liked Indy even before I got online and read whom you were on. At the end of the day...motivation will be the deciding factor.

Indy has been to the well twice vs NE and gone away empty handed. Huge motivation there. And now Indy finds itself with the luxury of Home Field + the more talented roster. Albeit Bellicheck is still the best coach.

exactly i bet on new england in about 4 different ways. I couldnt beleive my eyes brady turned into rex grossman (on his bad days). but the game went exactly as i thought it would, san diego just did not know how to win the game. i actually felt bad new england won and i had money on them ml thru live betting that i was gonna sell back at a profit but as the game kept going i was like SD is going to fully self destruct and it was worth the risk. i was only worried that the pats would lose by 13 or more, most of my money was in teasers. I fully thought the playoff experience of new england would keep the game close, 10 or under late in the game, i couldnt believe SD didnt give new england a heavy dose of LT in the 4th qtr/ hell the 2nd half.

the thing is about indy is they will not do what san diego did. they have been in the playoffs for a while now and they will fully enjoy beating New England and winning the superbowl as their time has come. dungy is not marty shitforluck and nobody will be giving new england the ball for a personal foul or any of the countless dumb mistakes san diego made.

Mr Bator-

Just wanted to say that I read most of this thread, and I agree with you 100%. In the past, I have been all over the Patriots over the Colts (especially that home dog game a few years ago). Those were some easy wins.

Now I just can't get myself to back the Patriots in this one. This team has very little talent. Tom Brady didn't play a good game in SD and I felt really lucky winning my NE +4.5 and NE ML. I thought the game would be over had McCree not fumbled the ball.

It's just such an easy to way to cap this game and think about all the history between these teams and say NE will win it. I just don't see it this year.

Guys I think most people respect the opinions of Mr Bator (I know I do). However every gambler gets it wrong in some games. For me this is not an easy game to cap. I see Mr Bators points but I feel he is too confident backing against a team who somehow keeps finding a way to win in the playoffs and is looking for its 4th Superowl in 6 years (incredible). The Colts have a massive mental barrier to overcome here. This kind of barrier can leads to players making mistakes they normally wouldn't in pressure cooker situations. I for one think both Manning and Brady will play well, but you mark my words the hero's of this game will be payers no one has discussed before the game. The pressure is all on the Colts, make or break game and this pressure can hinder a team. Therefore going large on this match makes little sense to me. Your basically risking large money and backing a team and that has an awful lot to prove. I will only go large on plays where all the tangible factors points to one team (check out my play of the season thread last week. EAGLES!).

Anyway having said all that, I will be backing the Colts but not large. Not because Mr Bator is on them but because I feel this is there best chance to beat New England. I think it comes down to the fact whether the Colts can stop the run. If they can and New Englands attack is as one dimensional as last week I see only one winner. I will not be going large on this game as I am not fully convinced on my choice and I would urge people not to go large on this game just because Bator is. Seems like after this game Bator will either be zero or hero and I don't think thats fair on the man.

I urge cappers in here if you like New England stick with your gut feeling. Nothing worse losing a bet where you were on the right side and then have someone else talk you out of it. This is a 50/50 game and I hope people are responsible with their money. May the best team win. Should be a cracking game and I see it coming down to a field goal..

I have been tailing Mr. Bator butt all year, that is how this whole thread started.

I felt I OWED it to him to let him in on this trend.

I knew it wouldn't change his mind but it was the respective thing to do.

As far as not bringing something to the table, if you go back and read my threads

I am sure you will rethink your statement.

I do not bet ANYWHERE near as much as the Bator but gambling is my

only source of income.

(Think of John Tuturro in that Matt Damon poker movie,

you know, the one where John Malhkovich eats the oreos?)

Hopefully someday... I do have some good info that we will all be able to use next year I think. I know that's a long way off, but I'm convinced that some of these trends I'm discovering in the NFL are going to be very useful.

They stopped the New England running game earlier this season when the colts beat the pats. They did it mostly by Sanders flying all over the field. Sanders is back and this game will be the same. Patriot one dimensional offense. therefore, some interceptions by Brady.

Here's the bottom line and you can hate if you want,I dont care... but, Its the truth. So, thats why it probaly hurts so much. I make money doing this and have done so for alot of years. I see all these post on here and can tell just by what people say wether or not they have a clue, and most do not. Ever wonder why Sports Betting is so profitable for the books..? Its a Billion Dollar a year Industry and its not by accident.

But, its almost pointless because people are not Interested in learning the ropes......they just want people to post winners so they can coattail and try to win some money at this....But, most of the them who have some success doing that piss it away anyways on other foolish bets....

Tough call in the Second City.

Grossman is the key.(Big news right?)

If he plays well, the Bears should handle

the spread by the end of the game.

I admit he surprised me Sunday with some HUGE

completions.

If Grossman makes more than one mistake early and

the Saints get two scores up, I do not like the Bears

chances coming back with Rex at QB against an agressive

Saints D.

My gut feeling right now is the Saints but that

is no where my final decision.

Still only Tuesday.

BATOR, you keep saying how bad Brady looked but they still beat a 14-2 team............Ya gotta believe by past performances that he won't have another bad game. Tough game to call.

Toughest game to call in a long time. Thats why if you confident on one of the teams back them to win it all then hedge your bet on the NFC plus 7 and hope for middle ground for the big game.

I think Colts win by a field goal..
