The majority seems to be on Memphis.  We all know what that means.

Let me debunk a few reasons why everyone is on Memphis tonight:

1.  Kansas barely beat Davidson.  That proves nothing.  Davidson was playing some phenominal basketball.  The were huge dogs and beat some really good teams.  Fact is, Kansas beat them and that's all that matters.  Who knows if Memphis would have fared better.

2.  Kansas let UNC back in the game.  Come on folks, Kansas was up huge at the half against UNC. Of course there was a letdown in the 2nd half to be expected, yet Kansas still covered the 2nd half spread!

Kansas +2 in this one folks.

Kansas +2.5/Under 148.5   parlay

Good luck all, this REALLY is a crapshoot, but should be a good close game and hope I make some  watching it while drinking my Stellas

Memphis is averaging 8.2 Turnovers per game in the tourney.
Kansas is averaging 14.2 TO p/g in the tourney.
Memphis had 12 in their first game, hasn't had more than 9 since.
Kansas believe it or not had 19 against UNC.

If this is going to be a tight game, this could be a huge  factor.
And with all the talk about Memphis' FT shooting, Kansas only shot 57% from the FT line against Davidson.

All the talk about the Memphis guards are going to have a tough time against the more physical KU guards. Well remember Curry got 25pts against them. Chalmers and Rush only had 13 and 12pts respectively against Davidson.

This is a very even match up. I still think Memphis is on a mission, they still have the us against the world thing!

I will take Kansas here and I will stand by my pick 100%.

MEMPHIS -2 I think size and speed will be the factor tonite..Memphis has been waiting a long time but well see!

 

That was the worst I've ever seen UNC play this year when they were down 40-12, and they still damn near brought it all the way back against Kansas.  Kansas also struggled against Davidson.....which leads me to pondering something I heard Robert Montgomery Knight say at the beginning of the tourney.  He said something to the effect of the team with that has the most concentration and mental toughness is the team that's going to win the tournament.  Nothing about what I've seen out of Kansas the past two games says mental toughness.  Athletic?  yes.  One of the top defensive teams in the country?  yes.  One of the best coached teams in the country?   no.  A more mentally tough team than Memphis?  no.

Memphis is ready to show the world that they weren't the # 1 ranked team in the country most of this year for no reason.

I've got MEMPHIS ML  -130.  I do expect it to take everything they have to beat a tough Kansas team.  This will be a very competitive and fun to watch contest.

Kansas is so much deeper then Memphis in the frontcourt.  Dorsey gets in early foul trouble...again.  I like Kansas overall team an maturity better then that of the Tigers.  Rush will frustrate CDR leaving Rose to "do it all."  I'll take the experience and balanced team with Kansas over Memphis.
