Kansas vs. Memphis - no play for me here,
I've lost plenty on the tournament this year which is heartbreaking
given my good history. I didn't even have these two teams in the Final
so I could care less who wins. I guess for the sake of making a pick
I'd rather Memphis win, mainly because I like Calipari and not many
people have them winning the brackets. Kansas is the deeper team, and
slightly more athletic... but Memphis has the better "star" athletes in
CDR and Rose. The line currently sits at Memphis -2 in most places and
I think thats a great spot for Vegas to be in. I also think the o/u is
a tad low at 146.5 but then again the NC is called very closely by the
refs so that can greatly affect the overall score. I'm just gonna sit
back and relax with a few beers and my HD tv... enjoy the game, and if
you win make sure to call your bookie at the final buzzer!

Memphis has cruised against good teams.
I expect everyone will be on Kansas, just like every other team Memphis has played the last couple weeks! I think they have proved they are more than worthy and they won't lose in the Alamo Dome 2 years straight!
Plus Memphis could beat the Grizzlies!!!

Anyone who believes that either team is worn out must be stupid. These kids are young and could do this every day...they dont get worn down...this isnt the nba finals...dont bet on the game if that is your decididng factor...and to say Kansas had extra incentive to beat roy williams...how bout the incentive of getting to the national title game...if anything they have twice the incentive to win tonight...do u work for espn or something?

KANSAS held UNC, the #1 O in the country to their season low point scoring total of 66 points.
Defence wins championship, Kansas has the better D. They are much more well equipped than UCLA or Texas to play Memphis as they don't have midget backcourts that settle for low percentage jumpshots. They can play the same game as Memphis, only they do it better.
For some reason, the country is not behind Kansas as they nearly blew a 28 point lead, however, let's put that in perspective. They opened up the biggest asskicking first half on a team ( a vergy talented team at that in UNC) that I have witnessed in some time. 2 points is a gift here.
I'm taking KU +5 with a little tease and also SU ML at +115 or so.
GL---Kansas has been battle tested more than Memphis and I think that will show up tonight.

I would worry about Kansas choking under pressure. You see how rattled they were when UNC made their comeback. And also how rattled they were the whole game with Davidson.
Maybe as the dog the pressure will be off of them.
The way Brandon Rush was stroking it in his "slump", you'd think he hoisted up 5000 shots in practice yesterday.

I know at the books it looks like everyone is on Memphis....78% actually. But in these forums it looks like most like Kansas.
And you are correct pdohwha everyone was on UNC! But just remember everybody's money was on the Giants for the Super Bowl and the books took a bath! Doesn't happen often but it happens.

60/40 for Memphis according to the site referenced on the match-up page. Still it's a huge difference between the overwhelming hype of the team everyone picked to win the tournament (UNC) from day one...and Memphis.
I like the smoothness of the win by Memphis over UCLA. KU definately lost their composure on the back-stretch with UNC. Why were they attempting so many unsuccessful 3-point plays in a row?

i did pick Kansas to win it all... BUT... i have been betting on Memphis almost every game, and if there is one team (even back then) i would pick to beat Kansas, it's Memphis...
like i said, i already bet Kansas to win it all, so in that sense i already have a bet on this game, and will probably not make any others... but at this moment if i were going to pick a winner in this game, i have a slight lean to Memphis... should be a classic final, though!

i think Derrick Rose was EXTREMELY smart to fake a stomach problem so he didnt have to participate in the media festivities..Hell come out tonight ready to go with a clear head along with the rest of his mates...Kansas is without question a worthy opponent...but all Memphis has to do is run and run often like they did against UCLA who is another ball & clock hogging person type of team...i just dont see Kansas slowing down a marble that turned into a boulder that is Memphis..
im taking Memphis..CDR..ROSE..CALIPARI...GL ALL....

My book has moved the line from 146 to 147.5 in the last couple of hours so we will see....
I would love to get 149, but I will probably settle for 148.5
