You obviously haven't met a lot of people, because I have never walked out on a tab, and I never will.  I'm not some f*cking punk ass thief who feels the need to steal a meal to get by.  Only hooligans intentionally skip the bill.  Of course, a few forgetful stoners and disoriented elderly folk may occasionally walk out on a tab here or there, but it's not intentional.

 

Also, I don't think it's necessary to know this girl to feel sympathy for what this douchebag did to her.

 

People are so pissed about someone losing money, this shit happens every day countless amounts of times, and yeah its not the greatest thing you can accomplish, but everyones done something bad so getting pissed about something that affects you in no fucking way whatsoever is a waste of the muscles in your hand typing your rants, much like this explanation has been.

I'd be lying if I said this hasnt been weighing on me for the last couple days.  You guys have been making me feel pretty guilty - and my boys are still giving me some heat about it, saying they'll never be able to return to the place.

 

I'm going to head to the pub later today to see if she's around, and pay the bill.  I happen to be pretty fucking smooth with the woman, so I should be able to talk myself out of a potential slap in the face.

i dont think you understand the seriousness of your actions. what you did was misdemeanor theft. That doesnt show much to your character. This could only roll over into worse things later in life. Its better that you learn that this behavior is really unacceptable now rather than later when you could face serious consequences. Also i completely understand your side of the story. I know how to make PB&J and thats about it. I eat out everyday. I have run into very shitty service. But try to understand how you could "teach the server a lesson" without stealing food from the restaurant. I would have paid my bill asked for change left NO tip if i felt it was necessary and then spoke to the manager. The managers job is to make sure waitstaff gives good service. Let him deal with the situation then he maybe would have comped your meal. 

 

It's pretty simple, you stole 25$ from a hard working woman you don't know.

 

The sandwich and beer is irrelevant, what you did is really no different to walking up to some lady on the street and demanding 25$.

You know, I just read this post and at first, like many of you, I was angered.  Definitely pissed off.  But I've thought this over, and I'm now taking a different stance.  Pity and thankfulness.  I pity this pathetic person, and I'm EXTREMELY thankful that I did not grow up in his household.  However he was raised, by whoever raised him....it's CLEARLY working against him.  This poor soul has very little chance of becoming a decent human being at his age (he's apparently old enough to drink.)  I further pity any offspring that this guy might have.  They will likely have less of a chance than he did.  Terribly sad when you think about it.
