Ok, I just have to say something about " The Secret" talk going on in the radio show today. The secret is a LOAD of crap, and I am truly surprised that Teddy of all people thinks that there could be mysterious energies that do whatever our mind thinks. I mean come on, when I was a kid I used to think that if i thought hard and concentrated hard enough I could create a fireball with my hands and kill people with it...and believe me I really tried hard to make a fuckin fireball.
Anyways, So Teddy's argument is that if you think positive you will play better poker. That is totally different than praying for mysterious energies to come to your rescue when you suck like crap. A positive mindset is always good, because it brings out the best in you. but if you suck.. you suck.. no way in hell being positive will change that.
Another one of his argument is that SOME people are more lucky than other people. ANOTHER big surprise..coming from a handicapper who is suppose to be an expert about odds. Do u ever realize that gfs only remember the bad shit you do and never the good? If you really want to call someone lucky your going to have to look at their WHOLE LIFE and see what the averege luckiness scale is because ANYONE is bound to have a lucky streak sometime in their life. And that streak my friend is what everyone seems to remember...so No Teddy..jsut because someone seems luckier at THAT time..doesn't mean they are luckier than someone else. The ODDS are..some people just have to be luckier than some... thats the way it works. Someone HAS to win the lottery..does that mean that person has more positive energy than someone else? I highly doubt it...Prez is totally right by saying every sport handicapper is VERY positive before the game starts..but there are still very bad cappers out there. It has nothing to do with how positive you feel. Its SKILL and money management. THATS ALL. Plz PLZ PLZ don't be irrational again Teddy, I KNOW you dont' believe it. You are much too good for that!

although positive thinking will never help a certain mathamatical outcome in a poker hand; many pros....preach the same positive attitude while playing...not expecting the bad beat, or not expecting to come up with the second nut while making the big bet on the river....as it comes to playing a better game.

My suggestion is having a different hot amateur/professional girl who is trying to promote herself on the show to balance the testosterone.
Plus girls who know nothing about sports seem to win our office pools at work. Id be curious to see if random hot girls could pick winners over the long term. Or at least Id love to hear them try!
Is it just me or have you both noticed that homers in college basketball dont seem to be covering as much this year. Seems to me there are more road teams covering spreads this year. And road chalk seems to be doing well like Cleveland State last night. I used to avoid road teams in college. What is your take on it.

50 k update Prez thanks for letting me play along in that 50k contest and acknowledge the fact that you will be defeated(a good competition brings out the best in everyone) Teddy and i are on a 35-15 pace, that is hard to maintain but i think 32 wins will do the job. 64% is a great accomplishment over 50 games.My selection today is IONA-ST PETERS OVER 120. GL everyone good job.

... or maybe it just got annoying when everyone starting posting their own plays here instead of DISCUSSING the CONTEST picks that this thread is supposed to feature... 
There has not been a single post in favor or opposed to the "pro" picks before tipoff... I find that amazing given the mandate of this thread...
I mean no offence to any poster here, I simply observe that your contributors have dropped by 80% since the first week of the contest...

Wow, Teddy again comes up with a lame ass argument about the secret!
Teddy says that because we don't know for sure 100% we cannot say that there are no magical energies that obey our brain's thoughts..so hes agnostic about this. Therefore, I could make a crazy statement like there is a flying cow orbiting the moon which is so small that it cannot be detected by any telescope from earth. BUT knowing what we know...about the universe and space..and cows...we can most definitley say i am 99.99% out of my mind. BUT YOU CAN"T PROVE IT!
same thing with your energy theory... Knowing what we know about how the world works..with energy being able to be detected..and how energy works. OUR brain has NO connection with the universe making it able to give anyone special powers when they want to THINK positive. In poker..the cards are delt..and they are not changed no matter how much u want to think about not getting rivered...YOUR GONNA GET RIVERED if the cards are in that specific order.
NOW, after saying that...I still believe that BEING positive has positive effects on someones playing style. It gives you confidence! Its about not being scared to make the right decisions in poker. NOTHING to do about getting less bad cards or not getting rivered as much...You will get the cards you are delt..YOU cannot change it no matter how positive you want to think.
