It’s universally considered unwise to bet against Alcaraz at this point. His ability and track record speak for itself. He is also human.
Hurkacz is in great form. Faced little challenge on his serve all tournament and even last week, Alcaraz was pushed the limit against Hubert. Considering how hard it’s been for Alcaraz to get wins all week, Hurkacz will be a decent size dog 1st set. Lets take the 1st set game spread +1.5. Really good chance for a tiebreak but also if Hurkacz is going to get the better of Alcaraz, this seems like a ripe situation. He’s rested, the court conditions are complimentary to his playing and Alcaraz looks beatable this week.
Hurkacz +1.5 1st Set @ -101
*If Alcaraz takes first serve, I’m gonna take +1.5 first set after the first hold. Should be a decent line. +120 or better.
