Today is the day that the double fault queen falls...she is a head case with her double faults and the yips creep up and bite her today....

I think Zheng straight sets her if the double faults continue, which I don't see how she can correct that at this stage...she would be better off serving underhand just to give her a chance on second serves...it's quite embarrassing to witness a professional of her caliber at the highest stage performing this way...she got away with it the last two matches but things tighten up today if she can't fix it...

Even the oddsmakers think so....below a 150 favorite over Zheng....c'mon...take the gift...

Right...her whole camp should be embarrassed.....However, it might not be them and it could be that Goff is just in a mental stage right now and needs to step away for a bit...I mean, this is eerily similar to a golfer having the putting yips...I went through it in my competitive stage where I was nervous trying to make a two foot putt...even a one foot putt or less had me anxious....

Once you take it for granted and the negative thoughts enter your head as a competitor you need to reboot yourself because it does and will affect you...I believe this is where she is right now and once the frustration set in you cannot correct during matches or in a tournament....you have to step away and get back to basics...it's completely mental and you can see it taking over during her matches right now....

Well Goff played well today...go figure...she looked like it was her first challenger event the last couple of outings and should have been relegated but today she showed us why she is a champion...
