Who's fading Halep today?  A -130 fav now -144 ?  Has she kept in shape?  We know Badosa hasnt been in the best form of late but I find it hard to believe the Romanian steps right in and easily beats a player the caliber of Badosa.  

I remember when Nadal was out in 2013 for half the year. I always thought it was BS that he was injured. This was a couple years before the spanish doctor got busted along with 50 atp/wta players for doping. I thought Nadal was on a quiet doping ban. He came back and won Montreal, then Cincy. I remember thinking this wasn’t someone off for an injury, this person’s been training this whole time, not recovering. I got him at 10:1 to win the US open that year and by the time the US open started he was 5:1.

Halep hasn’t been sideline with an injury. She’s been practicing between judicial arguments. And she was looking good before she got taken out. She may not be in top form but she wont be on a “lets see how ya feel” restriction from her team. She doesn’t have much time left to win so this will be her giving it all while she can and while she’s fresh.

Looks like a decent value to me. I’m tailing the covers peeps here myself with Halep.

side with everything you said, my concern is her opponent.  If she came back facing say Schmiedlova I could see it.  lol.  Also, I havent seen anyone talk about this match on covers. What am I missing? 

H2H, Badosa’s been dominated. She’s also been off for 6 months herself, only been back since January with a losing record. Playing outdoors against someone like Halep, I think there’s a lot going Halep’s way.

I’m also shit at WTA picks. Packers reassured my hunch in my thread. I also have no pucks over the first rd here so this is the only action I’m in on. 

Wouldn’t place much stock in their h2h that was back in early 2022.  The line is what it is cause Badosa has had back issues
