This court has a high success rate for hard court guys, Sock being one of them with a decent record in Houston. I think this should have been a tighter line so taking the home town boy at plus money. Really like the over as Machac is 10-5 on over 22.5 this season with 8 of his 15 going 3 sets.

Sock broke a string and the ump sent the ball boy off to restring it at 34lbs/sq/in. For those of you unfamiliar with string tuning, this is a fantastic weight per sq/inch if you feel the need to play the ball in the court unnecessary. No wonder why he rifles balls into outer space.

edit: apologies to anyone who tailed. Sock was recently one of the best doubles players on the planet and he’s missed all his volleys. He’s been on a bit of a come back trail but today he’s flat. Literally dragging his feet around the court.

2-2. The shirt change might have helped.

3-2 Sock. Scored his first net point. I’m nervous for my wagers but there’s been glimpses of hope last few games.

4-3 Machac strikes first in the 2nd.

Machac was nothing special but painfully disciplined.
