I'm interested in getting the Skype Pro 1 year deal for $36. At the last page before submitting order there's a message like-- you must click here and agree to $3 per month fee after service expires. What is that? Are they charging your CC $3 extra every month after the first year?
Second question is the Skype In. I understand you get a number where people can call you. But if I call someone will that number show up on their caller ID, or would it be the +123456?
Thanks for your help

Although I don't have VOIP, the consensus is that Skype isn't that great.
Here is a ranking of the best services. It depends who and where you call the most:

I can't answer your questions directly. I think Skype is a better option for those outside the US.
You can buy a VOIP adapter, so you plug that adapter into your router. Then you plug a phone line into the adapter and the jack. And then a phone into the adapter. Basically, like Vonage, except it's not locked and you're not paying a ridiculous fee.
Callcentric seems to be the best for outside the US.

Not a skype user either, been using VOIP for awhile, great deal for unlimited calling in the US and Canada for fixed price. I highly recommend Packet8 because their rates are a bit cheaper than Vonage.
