question about web development

recently I've been learning C# and Asp.net , and I was wondering if anyone here have any experience with developing a web page.  I feel stuck...I mean I understand how to create a basic web page using web and data controls....
But I was wondering do I need to learn algorithms like data structures, queues , searching, sorting,error handling, etc to be able to create a business website...Reason I am asking is because my uncle recently asked me to help create a website for him to sell his merchandises online (small business). I am all new to this so I was wondering if anyone have any suggestions on creating a business website..Thank you 

No, I don't think so.  But you'll need to learn about databases.  There's no heavy math.
