im looking into getting one (used) but the premium pricing for what amounts to NETBOOK specs are really a turn off..THIS macbook is not even a yr older than THIS macbook
pro but yet prices is about the same (for new) ..anyone have any advice on
how to get the best mac for lowest price (nothing older than 2009
model)??

Get a new Macbook Pro. Mine is seemingly quite a bit better than my first little Mac. Just trust me.
Cant fathom getting someone else's Mac/computer to have. Perhaps that's just me though.
i sent it back...i just dont like laptops..i dont "get" them...i bought ipad2 instead...very nice...i even bought a grandfathered unlimited data plan from att off ebay!!! very nice!!!

Misfit, I just need the whole deal when I go to work, travel, or whatever... I can't get my brain around an Ipad for some reason.. I'm already carrying a guy bag briefcase, and my 17 inch laptop screen of the macbook pro fits right in, and is better than my fols towers at home that I know of....
How much stuff can you cram onto an Ipad? Oh, thats another thing... I really like to be able to jam wherever I am through the Mac speakers
At home we have an Apple computer hooked up to a keyboard and 54 inch big screen.... Good for music movies and stuff....
Misfit, I just need the whole deal when I go to work, travel, or whatever... I can't get my brain around an Ipad for some reason.. I'm already carrying a guy bag briefcase, and my 17 inch laptop screen of the macbook pro fits right in, and is better than my fols towers at home that I know of....
How much stuff can you cram onto an Ipad? Oh, thats another thing... I really like to be able to jam wherever I am through the Mac speakers

That being said, I can gut a windows tower and fix a virus and other various problems in 2-3 hours , but if I ever (probably wont happen) have a problem with my Macs, I will be paying someone else a bunch of cash to fix it, since I wont have a clue to doing it myself.....

Bubba, I dont have Iphones or any of that trendy nonsense other than my Ipods for only music, and never have 'em out in public...
Got the Macs Pro and regular for business and peace of mind, since I dont have to always be tweaking it and "safeguarding them" like every windows I ever had....
I'm not an Apple expert, but use it well enough to know it works better....

i really dont have any gripes with the ipad2..im very glad i got rid of my piece of shit netbook..netbooks cannot handle win7..and i dont like win7 anyways...ive tolerated xp the last few yrs but dont know how much longer i can hang on..chrome OS netbooks are supposed to be out this summer (im stoked as hell)...ubuntu and linux in general, been there done that, not impressed...i havent really sat on a mac for more than 10 mins, thing is right now, i dont wanna learn a new OS, which is why i am looking forward to chrome OS, not only simple but CLOUD BASED, which is where ive been moving the last yr and half...whats really sweet is amazon's cloud,the other cloud music services suck and are schiesty with storage and/or to pricey to remain viable, for me atleast......
