Looking For A Download?

I can't remember what program is required to download on my computer, but whatever it's called, it allows viewing of pictures or photos that accompany websites or emails snet to me for example, etc. What's actually occurring right now on my computer is that instead of me being able to view a picture being sent to me for example, I'm seeing or getting a small red letter 'x' in a little square box. Does anyone know what I'm referring to or what I need to download to eliminate these little red letter 'x's so that I can see the actual photo or picture that I supposed to be viewing?

This is what I'm actually currently viewing as opposed to the actual illustration(s):

Ok, so my example didn't copy to show you. Anyway, I hope someone knows what I'm referring to based on my post or explanation. Thanks.

Reset your internet explorer.

1 Tools

2 Internet options

3 advanced.

4 click on restore defaults.

Make sure to clear all cookies and delete temp files, then reboot and see what happens.

Also, install Firefox for a test.  See if the same thing is happening there also.
