laptop problem

I don't know much about computers but my internet explorer isn't responding after it opens up. Signal from wireless is fine. It's running very high CPU memory. I ran a defragment yesterday and since then its been really slow. Ran Norton and nothing came up.

I searched online threads on my phone but nothing of use came up.

Any suggestions? Sorry if I'm vague.

Try using a different browser.  I have had nothing but problems with IE.  Try Firefox or Google Chrome
