HP vs Dell

Going to purchase new computer in next 3 months.  I have a Dell, but thinking about changing to HP.  Some strong feelings here about the two. Looking to spend like 2k.  I coach football and do some editing of game films.  What type of CPU,video card, ram, hard drive, need large drive fillms take up space. Vista is getting bad press, haven't used it.  What's the deal?  Any help appreciated.

You can still get XP on some Dell systems though.

Desk top

If you order from either get their business line of desktops and build from there. IMHO they are better quality (better parts).

HP makes damn good printers. That's about it. Everything else is mediocre.
